We actually just need LoS check for All aoe, maybe its very hard to implement, idk.

every bloody aoe doesnt have los check so its not just engineers al all. only difference is engi morale 2 so if multiple engis coordinates and pop it at same time destro will start to fall rapidly.
and if u plan to ban playres for abusing it - /clap - u can already shut down the server cuz I bet atleast 80% (though I think its close to 100%) using it from time to time.
offtopic - and well....I do think aoe heals should have los too. cuz its pretty much same issue, u r standing in safety and heal someone u r unable to reach (in keep through walls, from top floor etc.)![]()
Banning people for abusing LoS /AoE through walls would turn into a total **** fest. There is ways to prove someone is intentionally abusing it to the point where it is extremely detrimental, but there is going to be hundreds of more instances where it just happens that person was using an AoE. You can't ban people for something like this. The evidence you would need to do so would too great to justify even enforcing it, or GM's would end up banning people who didn't deserve it. Maybe it would help If you had a separate executable (with source) that showed how to use client data to efficiently perform server-side LOS checks? Surely range and damage ability adjustments are within the realm of your prerogatives... We can just keep it as temporary until things like LOS and z-axis are improved.
As long as abilities can be abused, people will... It is just more efficient to decrease the benefit of game-breaking powers than trying to convert the whole gaming community into a bunch of altar boys and girls.
Mythic did it several time, you can do it as well.
