That’s your idea of end game. Some of us like to play the game as intended. Tank without guard is just wannabe Dps. 2h is supposed to be hybrid.

Maybe try to find a spec or gear aside from cookie cutter 5 off sov + 3 warlord and pick different gear. There are mastery trees, which offer disrupt as well. You want to run wb sized rvr with 2h? Don't run the 6vs6 sc build.

If u r destro unless you are a 2h bg i dont see the point of running 2h in a wb (outside of city siege where 2h can work) but hey feel free to melt as you please

As there has been some confusion about the mechanics ofguard, anyone know if the attack is still considered a "1 mainstat attack"? This atleast is how it was and as guard then always was 1 Str attack from the front you always had 25 % parry from Ws on guard dmg.

Yes people noticed it then, made a bug report. Then devs changed so it said dodge/disrupt instead of "parry".

yes, attacker stats influence it on RoR, it doesn't seem to work at all as it did back on live. This might be some intentional change from a long time ago, I'm not sure. Need to look into it a bit.

So basically, it is about a 20% nerf on parry for guard on top of all magic and range damage no longer beeing parried?

Well, on distru only BG has access to Disrupt tactic. And IB doesn't have access too. Can't speak for SM and Kotbs.

Yes, you can gear up for dodge/disrupt in some twisted way. But clearly Devs didn't designed gear around this mechanics: shield gives block and parry, gunbad jewel that give dodge or disrupt give either BS and Int. Reality is that you can't reach the same level of dodge AND disrupt that you could have reached in parry. And have the same stat as before. This change has been a huge nerf for 2h tank. As all the nerf, you can play around it. But a nerf is nerf

This is really absolutely gamebreaking change and not even mentioned properly in time or ever. Slowly i feel like most changes just prevent players to play in some way and eliminating options,sometime gaining nothing in return or some kind of weird "compromise" skill that no one asked for while having forums filled with the best of / since beta or live to ror having the skill and knowledge combined just in those players to make all changes in this game together and i tell you the balance and player satisfaction/ fun to play aspect would be much higher.

The question remains, do you need to be able to play 2h in a warband setting? This is similar to playing dps healer and being rejected from warbands. Not every build must suit to all settings. Tanks have viable warband builds, all of them. You might have to spec for it though.
