BGs and all tanks are terrible solo roam classes, Marauder solo roam is ok when you get the gear, BG solo roam is nothing, you won't catch anyone.
So Marauder is far superior to a BG in solo roaming, not even close. You don't have the mobility on a BG to either catch anyone who is paying attention nor can you really disengage off fights that you need to, two horrible things for solo roaming.
