Abcd here and i m a rr100 mara in live and solo mara in ror(play with good city leader in some of city fight only),what my thinking(the most 3important thing) is...
1:mara's skill 'Thunder blow' have to back 6skill point and it will let mara become better mobility, i always useing these skill tree combine( cutting claw+thunder blow, and brut tree,mutated aggre+growing insta,with aoe knocked down in monstro tree) in live, but here cant even use it anymore....
2:mara's damage just restricted by PB tactic....if u dont use PB tactic jsut hit some poor damage....what i hope is PB tactic can work on some skill which is dont need mutation ...mara has still a lot of skill which is dont need mutation(ex; Flail,corruption etc..),and if PB tactic work on some skill dont need mutation and it will become more better mobility,(ex:PB work on flail) some skill most time use it but not all skill,like i said (PB work on(some particular mutation skill)+ flail and corruption).
3:i dont really use monstro skill tree recently... cuz i just have a real feeling that monstro doesn't have 25% restore chance now....when this game restart in 2016...i played in T1 every 2hit restore 1 ..because 25% is high chance,but now even i hit a player in solo until end of the fight...it just always no restore my HP.
4:last but not least, my alternative is (this is my play style now if u interest in solo kill ), use sov def gearX5 +X3off sov and your armor will close 3500+825pot will become 4300 armor crazy tough and use savagery 13point + brut 9point and tactic use( BF160str, PB , GI(50% crit dmg) ,and WF(absorb 375 dmg)),and dont drink str pot over 1050... drink toughness pot become crazy tough+ okaish....damage..
RR point use full crit and lv2 futile strike or lv3 crit+lv3 futile strike final 20point go parry or 10 parry+10 wound。

the aoe spec seems really low damage atm I do more damage on my tank

I think you're doing it wrong. FMJ ran a 6 mara city, went extremely well. Good Mara's are dealing high damage in city, ie:geezereur wrote: Mon Feb 15, 2021 10:06 am the aoe spec seems really low damage atm I do more damage on my tank

Got few idea. Piercing Bite tactic should work on all mara skill+auto attack. It's really unfair thats 700ws can't affect on all mara skils.
Mara have huge problem with mobility, add him extra pounce skill without cd...charge/break root, pull, aoe knock, aoe interupt...for sure they need more tools.
