When i was playing on live forts were blob v blob lagfest, but they still had (high) population caps in the zone. if you tried to enter and it was overpopulated you would get teleported out of the zone and back to the warcamp. so you'd run back and hope you timed it right when someone else disconnected so you could get in.
i had way more fun gathering 5 others and hunting down all the people in the zone doing the above. so many stragglers to pick off since the zerg was elsewhere.
if you don't want to do that, gather up all that couldn't get in and go push another zone and fort. you'll get the jump on the others already in the fort for contribution and will get a much better chance to enter the fort next time.

No problem with forts having a cap or not even getting in.
But the game becomes pretty lame for the people that dont get in. No zone open. Most people are in the fort so scenarios are slow.
Might as well log off if you dont get in. Which doesnt seem like a good design.
And it's a little ridiculous people wanting to raise rr requirement or require wards. While I dont have a huge problem with that it, it doesnt fix the issue. It just makes it more likely they will get in.

Really? I still find lots of small scale sub 40 fights when forts are going on. Just have to gonto a different open zone and hit BOs the other team has. Its actually kind of fun to not have all the 40s running around when you're still leveling up.

well what i have noticed so far is when the last zone is about to cap, let's say once the lord is around 50%, most ppl run in IC to the portal. That leave the zone almost a free cap and those who defend t'ill the end CANT go to fort cause the pop is already maxed out. Thats pretty bad. but so far thats the way it work and thats not good.

Yesterday we had 2 fortress events. No you cant get in to every one but the amount of medallions to get Invad pieces is comparatively low and every time you will have a chance of getting in.
Saying never is misrepresentative. Its not that bad.

Fortresses are a complete and utter nonsense. ppl only going to closest bo, ppl who have not taken part in the siege camping at the port in. port in should be non pvp area. Respawn points should be non pvp

Invader runs from 60rr to 66rr. Even a 40/40. Can not use the gear any time soon.
I don't really understand why I still get Vang. tokens. Opt out does not work.

The problem is not with not getting rewards, the problem is that Fort is supposed to be a culmination of all the effort put into locking two-three zones, but only a few people actually allowed to enjoy that culmination, everybody else is told "show's over, go home" and thats not very fun.
Ideally it shouldn't have any population restrictions. Should be either just open zone and lagfest, or multiple instanced zones. And maybe scale rewards with difficulty of the siege.
