Heal on block is a decent idea. I would like to see an ability like Hold The Line that will consume career resourses and provide a group heal/hot. That way, when im punted away, i can HTL on my way back and at least provide some heals. Maybe a combo of increasing block while active to help improve surviveability as well.
That's a shame, in Sac spec on live it was quite potent as I recall. It was a bit weaker than your regular spammable melee, but healed well and had a higher AP cost. The issue is not if I can cast HoTs and full heals when no target available, the issue is try outhealing a BW with less than 400 WP using abilities in a tree you have zero points spent in and no way to regen Soul Essence. Saying a melee healer should be tanky is a given. melee healers so focused on melee and dps they forgot there are casting heals too.
that's the counter for kiting.
you can choose full melee high dps or hybrid melee casting.
i think block chance are less than 20
at max. that's kinda low to proc.
something gives higher block chance would be better.
survivability is most important as melee healer imo.
I don't believe that spec will work very well. Jack of both trades but master of none. IMO you have to go all in as dps for the healing potential or full heals and zero dps. As Mr. Miyagi says.. Walk left side of road, OK. tactics that dmg up/less heal has no use in this build.
HoT up and use gcd for ranged attack to charge mechanic, combine with castings.
it will give chance to get in melee.
once i almost killed SH with ranged only.
it's choice, full melee or hybrid.
kited or mediocre heals.
