Return of Reckoning

I haven't played ST Magus in ages. Can someone tell me what is currently good Havoc spec to play while roaming and scenarios?

havoc up to indigo, bolt of change, perils of the warp, chaos unleashed
changing up to firestorm for aoe dps/snare for kiting

instapet tactic
surging power
chaos unleashed
either endless knowledge or 15% damage on target (if there are premades roaming)

Sorry to hijack the thread a bit, but an answer to my post should provie the OP (and me!) with another selling point of the Magus.... Which tree is the best solo roamer? i watched a youtube vid from a Magus recently where they were tanking 2 melee and getting kills. Their hp barely moved. I think they were Demonology, but I can't really see from the tree why they were so effective solo.

Is it a case of full armour talis and choosing set pieces for armour/toughness bonuses? I think i can hit around 3.4k armour if i switched from int talis.

What trick am i missing?

You want the right tree up to Orange Fire, the damage shield/wounds buff, at the least. Probably also daemonic contract and daemonic pact. Left tree then up to Perils of the Warp and Bolt of Change. Slot close quarters too if it works now, and enjoy. If I had to guess, talis would be armor and toughness. I believe there is an epic weapon that has a wounds proc on it, grab that. Have really good pots too, including absorb pots. Solo roaming is legit at least 50% your pots, so having good ones is essential.

Then you just sit there and slowly murder people while taking very little damage. Its very frustrating to play against for most classes (good WH still murders you though, such is life) but useless for anything but trololol 1v1 killing.

I don't think that deftard Magus for solo roaming is the way to go now. Any experienced and properly stuffed order solo roamer will clean the floor with a deftard Magus.

The only classes that will give a deftard Magus any trouble are WHs, IBs, KOBS & exceptional 2H WP.
