As I said, let's try and keep 'don't touch my class' out of balance discussions. The end goal here is a balanced game with a healthy pop, OP classes on either side helps no-one in the long run other than players that put time invested in those classes over the good of the game.
The old "I have this class so I'm not biased" line, not heard that before......

What you fail to comprehend is that I have a KoBS, I also have other tanks. Let's maybe try and balance for the good of the game rather than 'don't take my op toys away' please.

Devs have regularly stated they want to see an active mechanic for Chosen/KoBS rather than the current 'click 3 best auras and forget you have a class mechanic'. One at a time still removes the mind numbing repetitive reactivation of twisting/limited duration, but makes it an active mechanic with meaningful choices - do I need to be buffing allies str or toughness right now, maybe we need a brief healing buff..?

It would also allow IB/SM or BO/BG combos to be a realistic choice, right now you give up over 1000 stat points of buffs/debuffs by not bringing the over performing tank, and it's just not a viable choice.
1000 stat points? That one line made my day.

I see maths isn't your strong point....

120 ish toughness for party (ie 6 if you're having trouble keeping up) = 720.

120 ish strength for party = 720.

You've then got a choice with the third, usually crit modifier/AP or even resists which off the top of my head is about 230ish too all resists to all party.

So yeah, conservative estimate with just str and tough auras is a KoBS/Chosen brings about 1400 stat points to a group, if you include resist aura as well its more like 5500 stat points. So 'over 1000 stat points' is a good under estimate...

Oh, and that's before you even consider the slightly reduced str/toughness/resist debuffs on opposition too, which hits enemy within 30 feet which if you're a half competent tank is way more than 6 people.

So it's either a 1400ish stat boost to party and a 1200 ish stat debuff to enemy, or a 5500ish stat boost to party and a 3000ish stat debuff to enemy just by showing up and standing about afk as a KoBS/Chosen.

Which bit were you struggling to comprehend exactly?
I was going to let the stupidity of your post speak for itself. However I had to waste two hours in a failed siege with idiots resetting tonight so I'm in the mood to play.

Firstly, if you had a Knight to any viable level and the debating skills beyond that of sixth form, you'd of picked the stamina aura for your example. Almost all Chosen/Knights use it and EVERY class benefits ftom it. Choosing strength for your example, which only the mdps and tanks benefit from is an inferior choice.

Secondly your example assumes that every member of the party is sat inside the aura range. I'll be nice to you and we'll assume the party is TUP or Zerg and work together.

So, we have what is effectively a long term party wide stat buff. Clearly no other class can do this, no comments from the Zealots/RP's, your class features do not exist apparently.

Now the Auras are powerful nobody, if you bother to read, including me argur this. Hell I'm not even opposed to a change to the buffs, back on live I was a proponent of the auras only working one way. Either they buff the party or debuff the foe, not both. I just never liked twisting.

What I found amusing and "made my day" was your hijacking of the twisting topic to whine.

However you go off at the deep end and act like a complete fool based on one line, brtraying a lack of maturity and reading skills. I'd love to yank your train all night but it's boring and I'm tired.

Z/RP buffs aren’t the same, as they can be Shattered or otherwise removed/countered. Auras can’t be touched other than super punt or killing the tank. Take 0 effort, and you don’t even have to reactive them every time you enter an SC or change groups.

Your last 2 paragraphs made my day. The level of cognitive dissonance is amazing.

Also... WTf is a “stamina” aura? You mean AP? This game doesn’t have stamina.

Sorry. I guess no one should argue with a 40/42 chosen who is a self labeled casual.... but it’s hard not to point out the flaws in a toxic hypocrite’s post.

A truly unfortunate placement for a typo...

Look, in an attempt not to derail a thread any further I'll just reiterate that what I'm criticising here is not one class or one side - it's clear to everyone that KoBS/Chosen are over performing and they both affect and benefit both realms. Rather than taking that statement as a personal attack on your ability as a player, let's have a sensible discussion. A class on each side is over performing, this is not a 'nerf destro' or 'nerf order' issue, its a 'let's improve the game for the sake of everyone' thing. You've admitted yourself that they're over performing.

So taking as the start point for debate the fact that KoBS/Chosen are over performing, and accepting that once client control comes in the classes are due for an overhaul, the question is what can be done to balance them in the interim (assuming client control is as far off as generally assumed).

The two obvious options are reduce the number of auras at a time (promotes active, responsive play) or as you've suggested remove the debuff element - also viable but does nothing to change the very passive class mechanic into something more active - KoBS/Chosen will still be mandatory due to the insane stat buffs they would provide their party just by standing around.

What I'd love to see is all tanks being equally viable, opening up more options for group/WB composition. That can't happen when the impact of bringing/not bringing a KoBS/Chosen is so great.

Its great cuz not only is that the most fortuitous typo ever, the properly spelled phrase would have still made zero sense.
