I experience quite the opposite. Crossrealm chat was a real improvement for me compared to live servers.

But if the shittalk from some individuals required a large amount of work from the moderators, then I understand why it has to be disabled.

It’s sad that people used cross-chat for shittalking, made a few new friends and found some old friends via cross-chat which would’ve been a lot harder via emotes! However WAR wouldn’t be the same without trying to get someone’s attention by /farting on them ;)

Deleted my macro warcries, no point in the roleplay side of it anymore.

Loved the to and fro I had from the orc guilds

I've had people shittalk me but it was rather amusing and overall I had more pleasant experiences than negative ones (well no negatives at all because I don't get upset or offended if someone says "fk ur moma" etc. on /w)

It really wasn't that bad....and you could always ignore the 1 or 2 people who were putting a damper on your day/causing you to be personally upset.

It was immense improvement, compared to live.

About moderation - give power to people. For example: 7 votes - ban from chat for 30 mins, 15 votes - 2 hours, 20 ignores - for 6 month. It's not perfect, of course, but no pressure on you.
Trolls will abuse that system just for lols
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. It should be better, than sorting everything manually anyway.

^^ Agree with peter. I found it entertaining :^) it was funny killing someone and having them rage at you and call you a bad player, lol.

Millenials can be such snowflakes.

I grew up in an age without gluten alergies, without no platforming anyone that might upset you and the IRA bombing us every week.

I think folks today have wet paper for hides.
