Double that. Many times I've tried to attack people in rvr lakes and they were like 'WTF what are you doing?!!111 stop attacking me!111' And their buddies from my faction: 'Stop attacking mah mate!111 **** off!!!"

What should players do, when the only rvr is happening in front of both warcamps? When there is no meaning in doing rvr, because you fight for nothing.
Same with SC and imbalanced numbers on both sides, when players stay in spawn the whole sc, because the other team has twice their numbers.
Players chat because their is nothing else to do besides grinding mobs.

Without the option to search for players in both realms you wouldn't even know what zone is populated without working War Report. It would be much more difficult to organize and call players to join the fight.
Dying is no option.

If all you enjoy in the game right now is chatting. I think you came to the emu to soon.

Is there not a need to cross chat during alpha for purpose of testing that abilities are working correctly, especially when new abilities and tactics are added?

I didn't said that I enjoy chatting. Having cross-faction whisper and player search (until War Report is added) is all I want to have.
What I dislike is the refusal of chatting in general, when there is almost nothing else to offer.
You can't level properly with SC/RVR and RR gain is slow (what all rr20 tend to ignore) at the current stage of development. You can queue for SC all the time and you get pops but then SC end after 3 min because points tick too fast or it's all about standing at spawn.
So I will ask you: Aren't there more important things to fix/add/think about than cross-faction chat?

With possible continuation of them logging on the other toon of your own faction and spamming advice channel how bad are you because you've killed their <insert any argument like underpowered, unequipped, afk etc.> opposite faction toon.

That takes effort. We know in game actions are usually reactionary. Only a small fraction would actually change faction and by that time even some of those will have moved past the reaction.

Faction definition is one of the core concepts of the game. Recapturing that is as essential as any core feature.

One of the reasons that I do not like x-faction chat is that certain people use /say to fill up the screen with chat boxes, so you can't see what is going on in the game. This seems like an outright exploit to me. I wish the x-faction chat would be limited to /tell for testing and coordination of 6v6 fights. Not just everyone standing around talking because they are losing for certain reasons.
