There's no point in killing champs anymore. They've nerfed XP gains again. It's a longer and much more painful grind now. Sorry alts.

Are you talking about solo for PvE or PvP?
For PvP do you mean solo roaming or following the mega blob around?

I did okay as a Magus but now there are several blobs and groups roaming around in one tiny zone so it's impossible to solo....they also recently disabled resolute defense so even a semi-competent WL will easily disable you for 5-6 seconds with a KD and pull exploit.

Choppa- good luck
DoK- Kited to death
Marauder- okay for PvP and PvE
WE- ganking squishy players
BG- too slow/low dps output
Sorc- only if well geared and have pots- long down time
SQ- bit slow- will run into zergs
SH- very squishy+ 5-6 second disables
Zealot- very slow- only decent against careers that can't heal
Never really tried a Chosen/Black Orc

...you need good gear and have to be at least r40/rr40 to even stand a chance.

My Slayer is fun to solo, however now that I lost RD any range class can just kite me, so it has become even harder than it already was. However won’t stop me from doing it, I feel great when I’m able to pull off what others say is “ impossible “.

But if you catch them, they've lost RD as well, and can't kite as hard...

Until the SH or other class knocks me down , back or whatever. If they don’t .. then yes. However that hasn’t happened yet,

RD never helped kiters a lot, rdps classes used to break distance cc'ing the opponent, but not with RD+CW+flee+ap pot, cause pursuer could do the same, and the worst thing - he could just turn around and walk away from your RD pro-kite, or hide away behind the rock or tree. Trust me, not a single rdps on the servers, miss RD, except those who tried outperfom zerg with 6man party.

RD was a save button against large numbers. RD was o tool for those who had lack off cc. Have i ever met an engie with rd through my 8k engie kills? Nope, not a single one! And any SW? yep, but it never helped them, cause if he already kites me - i cannot cc him, and if i got him first - RD has nothing to do with that.

SM on order and BG on destro but it'll take time and skill for both.

Deamonology Magus but that takes even more time and skill, no idea for engie as I've never played them past T1.

When you're alone for RvR/Scenario/PVE you need something that's diverse enough and does put out some decent damage while having some utility if required.

All tank spec engineers were using RD. Well, one could argue whether they still count as rdps. :)

The key ability here is Rampage, you have your enemies cant parry your attacks for 20 seconds every 30 seconds without any excusions to the amount of str you have on your own, along with parry+riposte build that makes you superior to any destro mdps you meet. ID is also great for soloing, Sl can even trade Fierce Might for that, and in a couple with +10% parry dual weild passive these are the main reasons why dual weild overperfom 2h.

However SL is more than vulnerable to any nuke damage and ranged especialy, loss of RD/CW made his life worse, soloing slayer may not return into combat vs SH, vs Magi being knocked back after sprint ends.
