You've never heard of a proxy? Or that alot of isp assign random ip? If I turn my router off for a few hours I get a new ip.
If you have a better idea on how to deal with ppl boting i would like to hear it.
I said you monitor rr gain and time online. If someones getting ridiculous gains then observe them to see if they are.
ip bans haven't been effective for over 10 years and only affect the innocent as botters will know how to get around a ban.

There are other reasons to bot besides RR farming, that is just the worst offense. He wants all bots banned period. Not just the ones using it for renown gain.

I didnt say ip ban, i said ban the bot account and strip any other accounts with the same ip of all gear and gold.
The only way to discourage boting is to take harsh and quick punishment, if this means a family member using same ip gets **** to then that will further discourage anyone from wanting to bot and if like u say about proxy's, changing ip's etc etc then obviously the only thing that can be done is to ban only the bot account.
Surely only someone who bots would have anything against harsh punishment.

Getting a report-> admin obsrerve gameplay/logs -> make decision -> temporary ban/no ban -> if user ignore warning ban -> perma ban.
the IP bans wont work.
Perma bans for gear farmers is not good idea neither at current game state

All the bis gear is bought through rr currency or lotd lair drops. The pve drop lists currently are nothing like official aswell. 0.1% on a single mob for a certain item and the majority of gear not even in tables. All the pve gear would drop from any mob of appropriate level. Only named mobs had their own tables. There was no need to farm gear. Everything dropped as you quested.
When the drop lists are sorted and other tiers are open botting will be useless except for rr farming.
This is just an alpha issue that will disappear when lists are sorted.

"Surely only someone who is terrorist will be against death penalty for them."
Parwun's solution is much better, sorry.

There is a difference between gear farmers and running a scripted bot.
Im not sure why some ppl are disagreeing with the idea to hand out tough punishment to ppl botting unless they are botting themselves ?

We're talking about your idea for a ip ban. Its silly. No one seriously used them since the 90s.
Also this wont be a problem when they fix gear tables and pvp currency drops.
Its alpha chill out it will fix itself. GR & SC gear was worth vendor price on official because they dropped everywhere. Wont be worth farming then. Fix the game fix this problem.

Terrorism has nothing to do with botting in a video game. Parwun's solution would be good for the ppl botting, not to point fingers or make assumptions but i wonder why that is.

My idea wasnt to ip ban...i will say it again so u understand. Ban the bot account and strip gear and gold from any account using the same ip.
While i agree yes its alpha etc etc if botting isn't dealt with it will only get worse.
