Thanks mate, i was just looking at the character builder and these skills looks pretty nice. In my opinion 50% dmg back as self-heal sounds really awesome, same for the 'dmg/self-healing-dot'

I Just wrote to youre Post where u wrote am is better dps whise and shammy better at healing. Shammy in dps spec Cant heal his self cause of 60% reduced self heal. Only way is life tap. And shammy makes more effektiv dmg that Cant be countered. Self heals like The big heal heals you for 350 As a dps shammy If u are heal debuffed. Think If u want play dps healer take am or shammy. And If you take shammy i can help you If u have some question

Am are better dps wise, they have a better healdebuff and till not long ago had an extra dot but that is not the case anymore.

Shammies are better healers, they have an extra hot they can use on the move and their tactics are better suited to be harder to catch and kill.

Overall, you can do fine on both, the point i was trying to make is that having damages over time doesnt make you an affliction lock, yeah they have a lifetap dot but the similarities end there.
They have 1 long duration dot and 2 medium/short duration dots and a channel for their core dps abilities, pretty similiar if you ask me but whatever.

dalinvar wrote:ok guys, so am and shammy are okay for the role. That's why i will try shammy at first.

But I would like also to give a try to rp and zeal.
Runepriest and zealot look like they are not capable of being in a decent dps role. I repeat i don't care about 2k crit dmg, just I like the hybrid playstyle.

No one dps rp/zeal veteran here?
I played dps RP back on live. Its bad. You can win 1v1, as you can on any class. But that's about it.
-Imo, the most similar class to afflock is magus, specially considering the kiting part, CC wise, damage wise. It has minor selfheal, a minion and it can self buff/heal in a very minor way.

- AM/shaman/RP/Zealot feels more like ele shaman tbh. The damage is different, but they can Direct heal even in damage spec. Peterpan's analogy to shadow priest is quite just too.

Just remember, the CC here, is a hell lot different from WoW. So for solo play, AM/shaman/magus are way better than RP/zealot, has they have access to more control and can cc multiple people at a time with their snare/stagger. RP/zealot have a harder time doing so. To some extent, even though lore wise they are very different, engineer resemble warlock a lot too and have very decent self heal, lots of CC and good damage + they are very easy to level and have good farming potential to supply other characters you might end up making.

Magus "heal" build is not possibel. First u need 3 taktics to Make IT a Bit viable... The heal one, CD reduction, crit dmg. So you waste 3 taktic slots to get all 3 seconds a 200-700 heal If The cast is not blocked or distrupted..

am/shaman/magus > rp/zealot , that's so sad i was really oriented in one of these 2 classes...

So are you suggesting me to try the engi? ok the lore could be different from my preferences, but I give most importance to the gamestyle of the character. I never tried one

If youre thinking of am/shaman as a dps their damage falls off a cliff in t4. You will not be a dps there. If you want the best of all worlds go magus/engi after a buff that makes mythics mara buff look tame.
