Warped flesh, in my experience should only be used if you don't have a guard. Coupled with Riposte you'll have a better chance dealing with solo melee classes, but in any other circumstance, a good healer and tank should be enabling you to focus on applying your debuffs and chipping away enemies until you can hit them with M2/guillotine.
