Never complained though; that's what happens when you fight in a lake. (actually that's the reason i spec'd so offensively all the time; i needed to get fast kills
)

You say that as if there couldnt be any friendly competition with people from a different realm. Funny, because some of the best friends i made in WAR were order (i played a Black Orc). A particular Sword Master comes to mind; we must have dueled a bazillion times (he was the last duel i had on Dec. 18th before WAR shut down).
You can get to level 10 in 5 hours, easily, just by grinding mobs. Boring? maybe... but you will make enough gold to buy at least a piece of nice gear (i got a blue BO helmet from the AH at 1 gold last night). Gearing is not as hard as many people seem to think.
Just because you want a slayer vs slayer fight doesnt mean the game should be changed. Dueling wasnt allowed in original WAR and, afaik, the priority in RoR is to make this game as close to the original as possible. So i bet dueling isnt even on the list of things to do.
tl;dr: Make a choppa and duel your brother's slayer.
Again,this is just my opinion on "Suggestions" forum.
If there was a way to add duel without screwing the game,there is no reason why they should not do it
You could duels your order friend,AND your friends from Chaos(i don't get why you should choose)
And a choppa vs a slayer is not the same thing as a Choppa vs Choppa/Slayer vs Slayer

Being a private server, for a game that needs a LOT of work, suggestions should be realistic and achievable.
Someone correct me if i am wrong, but i think implementing same-faction duels would require a lot of work. Work which would be better put in something else (like fixing RvR, for example).

Fair enough....but first let's just wait a gm to reply and see if this is even possible (for the sake of the conversation)

Really if you want to duel over rvr. This is literally the worst game for you. RVR was WAR.
Do you even read my qoute where i said i like both and i don't want to choose(as a player who love pvp)?

No mmo except for daoc is balanced to largescale as much as war. There are literally classes that have zero chance against otherss and also tanks that can survive multiple dps let alone a single dueller. War isnt like other mmos.
Every person epeen duelling is one less person in the real game. The lakes. All pvp should be out in the lakes. None of this prepared scripted nonesense. Get out and take your chances where anything can happen. Not picking the perfect spec or gear for fighting a certain class. In the lakes you dont know whats around the next corner (unless your gifted by tzeentch). Thats the real skills, adapting to anything.

There is no choice WAR is RVR. Thats what sets it apart from pretenders. No hand holding. Get in the lakes.

No, I do not want to see the people of the same faction, consistently dueling eachother outside or inside of a warcamp, There would be rvr going outside of the warcamp and people simply being useless dueling eachother in the camp.
