For those of you who have complained to me about grace spec

I have a ss somewhere of my choppa beating multiple dps healers (and I think some real healers) with furious choppin heals. Cant find it atm, but if I did it would clearly prove your entire point wrong and also prove that choppas are the best healers in game.

I could post a bunch more screenshots of me doing top heals in a scenario as Grace, but as far as I am concerned; Grace sucks (mainly due to the reasons Azareal posted in his thread regarding it).

You seem to be , excuse the word , bitching , about the ungrateful behaviour most of the healers deal with , to my understanding , the best possible option is to go Salvation , as it does not only aid your realms advance in the best possible way , but it is also rewarding ( yes healing contribution is non existant , sadly )

I'd rather go play a different game than be a stand in back healbot. It's the most monotonous, mind numbing drivel ever passed off as entertainment.

This is a GAME. I play it to have FUN. If in the process of my having fun everyone else gets awesome healing, it's a nice bonus. But I didn't invest tens of hours leveling up 1-40 and then grinding scenarios with inferior gear for the strict purpose of not having fun to benefit people I don't know.

That's the rub of the situation. Healers are in short supply in every MMO because they're boring as **** to play. I wouldn't have rolled a straight up healer, but I at least play a healer that has the potential to do pretty well, and people spit in my face for it. It's like a beggar asking for money and then spitting in your face when you offer him some food.

Thats great, problem is, the queue is putting you as a healer in the sc, meaning, other healers are not getting the pop because you did also everyones fun ends where the others fun starts, so when you play grace and make everyone play at a disadvantage, cant you see how you are you know, ruining everyone else fun?

That is the problem about this whole thing, you want to have fun? cool, so does everyone else.

Unless this is a new development, there is no such check in the queue system. I've seen scenarios with 6 healers to a side (rare, but they happen) and I've seen them with none.

@Bloodi Not sure how true that is given that the q system doesn't really seem to have functioning match-making atm/anymore (e.g. recenltly had one with 5v0, 3v0 healers etc). A melee healer trying their best is better than nothing.

@OP I mained a zeal/RP on AoR so can def sympathise with the rage tells etc, often after the person themselves had made a mistake overextending or whatever (but not always, everyone messes up sometimes, it's just that healers' mistakes are generally more noticeable than, say, an mdps's) . You pretty much just have to learn accept it imo, unless it starts getting abusive ofc, then ignore/report.

Precisely. Which is why tanks are allowed to not gaurd people if they don't want too. RDPS is allowed to not assist, MDPS is allowed to go full Rambo on every tank they see, and every healer is capable of DPS(to varying degree's of "success").

You get to play as a PUG however you want. People are more than allowed to offer their feedback as long as they do so in a somewhat polite manner. You are more than alllowed to ignore them, or argue your point if you want.

If you want to garuntee you have 2 pure healers for every SC, then go form a party. As you said, your fun doesn't supercede anyone elses.

I wish my WP felt somewhat usable in Grace spec, even with a full group he just falls short, and eagerly awating balance discussions to try and accomplish this. Currently, I shelved my WP for anything other than PvE grinding. I had a backline WP on Live, I get bored with him. But, my Z on dessie is actually quite a lot of fun to heal with.

I don't remember who said it, but I know it was a Dev/GM person. "Getting mad at a DPS healer for not providing enough heals, is like yelling at a slayer cause you didn't get a HoT..." Run the spec you enjoy. And try to remember that you actually in fact DON'T care what random people on the interwebs has to say... Rclick their name in chat, click Ignore. Problem solved.

aGrace or dps specced WP works ok if you run a group with dps SM and dps IB. But then it's a dps replacement not a healing one. You still gonna need 2 healers in the backline and your 2nd dps need to be a someone who doesn't neeed much guarding with a healdebuff like SW or dps AM. The extra healing you gain from the dps WP is gonna ballance out the squishier dps tanks and the dmg output should be about the same as running 2 defensive tanks and pure 2 dps. Back on live we used to run

2 SM, 1 Khaine/Vaul, 1 Hoeth/Vaul.
1 dps WP Grace/Wrath,1 dps AM Assurian/Vaul, 1 SW Skirmish/Scout
WP Salv/Wrath.
And this group was a really good single target assist train.
