That is the reason, i didnt propose a "punishment" but an incentive. So you can go in a direction to minimize x-realming and you dont punish casuals in such a tremendous way as you would with a lockout.
But as always the argument with the two accounts is hard to come by. But as I thought about it.... I think that may just not be such a problem, as the people had to play their toons up to t4 aggain to do that. Maybe that would be to much effort for the x-Realmers, so they would decide for one class.

We need this feature regardless, to fix a lot of potentially exploitable stuff from happening.

Well it will be possible someday. Can't say whether or not it's soon, though.

Live had a timer applied after you changed sides preventing one from xrealm jumping. Bring it back and problem's solved
(sure, there's multi accounts but they are bannable, aren't they?)

Out of curiosity, how did live handle someone switching from their t4 toon to go lvl a t1-3 toon of the other faction?
I jump around alts a lot, on both sides depending if a tier is alive or not, so things like a timer would be terrible.

In live you had a 8hour timer once you jumped from one faction to another.

Why wouldnt you want to have him as an dev? Ar you in favor of x-realming?
