I agree with this. You aren't "forced" to do a particular part of the game because gear harder to get, you're doing it because it's easier. Remember, MMO's grant rewards over time. Rewards aren't just going to pop up in your face in a few days (unless you really are grinding that hard). Only reason why people are being "forced" to do SCs, esp healers, is because it's easier. Rarely anyone wants to do the hard stuff and the players that do don't seem to be the ones complaining.Bacta wrote:To all complaining, it really isn't that hard to get SC weapons/sets or RvR gear. I think the way it's set up currently is perfect. It gives players something to work for in multiple areas of the game. No one is forcing anyone to get the gear, there are alternatives to the SC weapons/gear and RvR sets. Such as epic quests and ruin gear. Gear already drops from all areas of the game.
Like i said in my previous post, instead of unifying currencies (which is encouraged by laziness) just implement quests for emblems and medallions like in T2 and T3. Every time i check this thread, I see that my proposal wasn't even mentioned and was completely ignored.
Kill quests for such currencies. X amount of Y for Z, simple as that.
If the currencies were to be unified, guess what? Most likely the prices on gear will be increased just because the currency will be easier to get and again, as Torq said, "areas of the game would be desolate"
If there are such quests that rewarded such currencies in T4, then I'm not aware of it. But I'm pretty sure there aren't as I've checked all war camps.Dirtyz wrote:Instead of unifying currencies, make it a tad bit easier to obtain such items. Quests that award emblems and medallions, of course through their respectable domain (ORvR and SC). Just like in T2 and T3.
...quests that rewarded such currencies helped a lot and bringing them back would please the majority of players. It made the grind a tad faster along with the challenge of killing all three opposing races which also encouraged PvP and SC's.
I'm not aware of the original issue where it led to those quests being removed or if there was an issue in the first place. I wouldn't assume that there was an issue since it did make a lot of players happy.
