Back on Mythic's servers in took people literally months to collect sets sometimes, if they even completed them at all.

And then Mythic added tokens and the ability to unlock the wards on the tome of knowledge.

Because even them understood that taking months to collect sets sometimes, its stupid.

Which sets? Because I collected them all and it didnt take me very long. I think I can an even remember that certain parts of the pq set dropped at different pqs (different pairings). Not sure though But I didnt have to put in much effort to get ruin.

if anything the devs should implement a loot lockout for atleast 7 days after winning a golden bag at a pq. gear is way too easy to obtain since all people have to do is pressing one button for 15 minutes to receive a golden bag at a pq.

I am sure he means near release, there was no tokens and the adquisition of anni and so on was purely based on if you got a gold bag and then hope you get the correct item in it.

I remember getting multiple Anni helmets before the anni chest piece, that was back when the fortress lord had an aura that was a pure gear check and basically killed anibody not in full annihilator.

Mythic soon understood how stupid this was and added tokens to the bags and let you unlock the ward pieces to bypass the gearcheck on the Tok.

PQ bags never had gear tokens. Instances (apart from TotVL and the Incursion with their "broken" items) never had gear tokens either.
