Re: 2H BO vs 2H chosen

2h chosen can't dps while a 2h bo can
therefore not much use in going 2h as a chosen given the primary incentive to do so is extra deeps

Megaladonis is a great 2h BO. Maybe he can add some value.wulfgard07 wrote:Some observations I have.
I am a sword n board Chosen. The other day a Black Orc 2 hander asked me to /duel him in the city so he could decide what axe to use, and beat the crap out of me for about 30 minutes of repeated /duels. My tank setup is very cookie cutter, and with a healer i pretty much feel immortal. Without a healer i can I can stay alive through more punishment than a Mel Gibson movie. Its very hard to kill me. And make no mistake, I am NOT even close to the tankiest tank. There are several tanks in the game that cannot be killed by friggin fire clowns on LSD.
This Black Orc that was testing his two handed axe ripped me to pieces in seconds.
I guess the moral of the story is, if you take what a 2handed Blorc can do seriously, you will be very very scary. I recommend trolling the forums for specific names. To learn how to be a Chosen tank, I read whatever Tesq, Viskag/Sulfuras write and try to do it that way. Pretty sure there is a Black Orc zen master somewhere in these forums. Wish I could tell you who beat the crap out of me.
Shadow, I agree 100%. That is a nice summary of my long winded posts LOL. If you wanna 2H BO, then part of me feels like you should just roll a Mara LOL!Shadowgurke wrote:2H BO can't guard, 2H Chosen can. There really isn't anything more to add to this
If you're going for aesthetics, then by all means go 2h chosen. they can tank well even in 2h, indeed.Shadowgurke wrote:Can Chosen achieve the same DPS a BO can? No. That is irrelevant. The Chosen can do his job when twohanding, read guarding. The BO can't and therefor that's all that matters.
I know you have a soft spot for that 2H BO but don't let that cloud your judgement
Back then Best plan scale better and Can't YOu hear me now tactic do more dmg.nydig wrote:Actually there was 3 vids made and only the last 1 was at rr100 the other 2 i believe were before the rr100 patch even came out but yes i agree chosen is better but again for just a dmg stand point bo is better.
So what is your parry rating? With the right tactic and setup, you will get to 80% core( 90%++ with weaponskill) Unless the BO get behind you, there is no way he can get you down within second. 40~60sec maybe with the right gear and setup.(Full DPS)wulfgard07 wrote:Some observations I have.

Completely agree and its why I think that for group play Chosen are really the only ones who should be running 2h. I know the 2h BO can be a fun class to play, I know they can do good damage, force healers to detaunt, etc etc. They are great for PUG vs PUG matches because frankly noone ever focuses a tank. So that 2H BO is probably safe rushing in, face smacking some caster/healer and doing good damage and thinking they are pro getting high damage but then wondering why they are still losing and blaming his allies.Uncleanbus wrote:2h chosen can pump out dps in t4 due to power of the gods and touch of palsy. But I dont think their single target can compare to BO right now. Ravage got the nerf bat long time ago.
As a long time chosen player I think 2h chosen is the best 2h tank mostly due to suppression. Helps mitigate all the guards damage allowing you to stay in longer and Ravage away
