hm the idea to makes the dots better with lower the duration time is nice , but we will see :D

I dont listen to that i just ask for changes to live server , i played there magus nearly perfektly equipped and it was rly usefully . we got rly nice szenario groups nearly never loosed and so on .
lets wait first for t4 , than lets mayb speak about balancing

Which can easily be healed through with one group heal, or a single target HOT.
I have no idea where you got the idea that healer can heal 6000 dmg over 21 sec with a hot.
My DOK has 800 willpower, the Hot is about 2k /15sec
which is 133 heal per second. Your dmg basically do 2x more.
Please note that Hot tick once every 3sec.
The same apply to your DOts.

and its rly not relevant ^^ dots from magus are additional dmg to the dmg that he makes with dmg casts nothing else

he take dot damage by tooltips without counting all the mitigation from toughness and resists and so on.
Dots from engineer's grenadier tree are pitifull. Most of them tick around 100 hp per tick...

about balancing magus and engies from t4 prespective i totaly agree BUT ppl should keep in mind that this mean ror t4 not war t4 since there are some changes and make the combat system different between ror and war, esp concerning dots.

what are these changes :D thats exactly what i want to know

*edit* i have never seen a magus dot ticking at just 100 dmg all 180 +++ and iam lev 30 atm and not good equipped

all dot ticks calculate on initial apllication not at each tick like it was on live.
So you got dot then detaunt the person that apply it but the detaunt doesnt reduce the damge of next dot ticks.
So detaunt after boiling blood is applied on you wont half the damage from it at the end. That is pretty huge change from live

ps about dots runing for 100 or less i speak about engie dots and presume that it is similar with magus althoght i may be mistaken

Most dots hit bad/meh. Infernal blast and baleful are decent, but DPS AM has better st dots than either class.

The thing with Magus is they are great for Rift and padded SC stats. That's really it. With group cleanse a thing, their DoTs get purged before they have a chance to stack up and actually do anything. Heal classes purge them with out even paying attention to it. The Magus just seems like it's doing a lot of damage in SC stats because of the high number from the AoE dots. But, really, a Magus' damage is largely ignorable. An AoE dot might stick for a little bit and pad your stats but the damage it's actually doing is pretty ignorable/easy to heal through. Or just cleanse with out even realizing it. They are more of a utility class than a DPS, honestly. Rift, AoE spirit debuff, etc. But the devs haven't gotten to the class balance stage yet. So we'll see what happens. IMO at least some of their DoTs need to be uncleansable. The Magus is the only class in the game where all their damage can be outright negated. On live servers, before I quit, the Magus was pretty much just relegated to being a Rift bot.
