just change your auras depending on the group you are with and the team, you are fighting.
I find a specific load out works best for SC's vs RvR but again still depends on what your team and there team is looking like.
as a pure Utility S&B Chosen for a strong Premade, I take absolute pride in my 8-15k'ish Avg Damage per SC
Damage aura not very beneficial but it does help in the aoe premades. 1 damage aura is basically negating an enemy HOT. works great in ORvR of course.

This would be true if it could crit, and did anywhere near the same damage as a hot heals. It is like a 1/3 of a hot (taking heal crit into account). You are correct in that it works great in ORvR, it's a great way of tagging players or even stealing KBs.

Best Farm class is range like Magus, eng , SW ,SH,AM and shaman.
You don't need to run around tapping mobs.
