2h: simply go full dread, not much to it.
snb(warband): see lator's build above
snb(party): mixed defenses + downfall are mandatory.
then either ap aura or discord tree for resists.
third tactic should be either siphoned energy or unstoppable juggernaut.
just hold the line and face the bw if you are having a rotation on you. your healers should have no issue cleansing/healing what comes through your mitigation. i wouldn't ever use flawless armor.
don't underestimate unstoppable juggernaut, it's really good.

http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=cho ... :;0:0:0:0: is what I'm using ATM between block and parry guard mitigation is good enough, the high resistance is great vs all those rdps since block on chosen remains low till late on reducing damage in this way seemed like a good option. The assist damage isn't to bad and the staffed has been useful on occasion in sc and orvr despite being so short.

Well technically one could argue that the 10% less crit only effects you if you are the one being attacked where as the absorb works vs guard damage. In premades vs premades, it is very rare that someone tries to focus a tank down and instead focus on taking down one of the guarded dps. The absorb therefore mitigates what parry/block let through.
Personally I would just take juggernaut. I haven't played my chosen in months now so I'm not sure what build would be deemed the best.

Thats all there is to it, 10% less crits on you is a lot more reduced damage than 300 every 3 seconds will ever be.
The fact that someone really could argue otherwise is amazing and scary at the same time.
But i am sure you wouldnt last long posting outrageously wrong things, right?
Let say your % to be crit is 0 do you still think 10 more crit reduction is better?

or let's say a bw get 70% chance to crit .... have 60% would be different? --> no
you either avoid magic damages with hold the line + disrupt synphoned energy.
Warped flash is there to soak guard damages/dots/tank damages or what pass through a 60% block/parry/dodge/disrupt in t4, and with a armor + toughness + suppresion you should be able to remove most of damages. The lesser damages your tank x hit take the more that tactic became nice.
OF course if you get 500 damage x hit not, he specifically asked for a tank def build and for what tenhammer wrote i would slot warped flesh just that it's my "opinion"
@bloodi i am at least polite and i dind't even report your post /peace
@noise i didn't break any forum rule, i explaied why i consider in some ""def"" build warped flesh better in my post, it feel you just hate me... if you have something against me point it out in pm and we can discuss there. But for a moderator moderate an OPINION and NOT on a behaviour it's doing wrong """ imo""".
IF i have done REALLY something bad explain it to me and ban me from 1 month /do what is requrie to do in these cases; i'm ready to get the conseguence if i have done something wrong, which don't sseems to me but i would also like to hear a dev opinion regarding your post/ and the other one in the other thread.

I personally feel no hate towards you Tesq no worry and i am not saying you will get any problems for posting around here, but for the new balance forum there is nothing like "i personally feel X is better than Y" . It is plain mathematics there and you cannot ignore straight facts. This is the behavior that will get you banned there and since i know that you tend to go into that direction i just felt like telling you in advance to pick your posts carefully there.

Have you guys tried to do the math before argueing???
Ill use Annahilate as an example with dirty tricks and press the assault tactics from kotbs.
BW with high end gesr and rr should be at around 65% crit +20% from DT & PTA.
Lets use 850 int vs 600 toughness. and 10% base to be crit.
In this example WF will absorb 360dmg wich is the r40 version i think. But i use r40 Annahilate aswell with 14 points into mastery. I'll also add 20% total of avoidance. as it does mather when using a tactic like warped flesh
Over 3 secs. Annahilate will hit for an avrege of 1593 before resistances. WF will trigger onces. lower that number to 1233 If you do the calculation with -10 to be crit the numbers will be 1590 dmg before resiatances.
If you multiply this number with 4 wich is about the avrege amount of BW's in a bombing wb.
With -10 crit 6360.
With Warped Flesh 6012.

t4 chosen:
http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=cho ... :4791:4792:
I like unstoppable juggernaught 4th tactic, but if you're not tanky enough I'd look at rugged or warped flesh. The other 3 tactics are mandatory I think, although when t4 comes around I have to do some testing on how much I'm able to proc crippling strikes with only blast wave as an area. It might be enough with some crit chance from gear and renown.
As for t3 the optimal setup seems pretty obvious to me... you need:

The difference between this setup and t4 setup shows how incomplete chosen is at t3 compared to kotbs who can get nearly all of their goodies right now.

I used the " i personally feel " form to try avoid forum pvp ; trying make pass something as i think it instead said " is in that way" like aza and other told me i done . But it seems it didn't worked until now. I will try to correct again my form so.
Anyway on live i tested both, and my conclusion in solo vs the same ppl was that warped flesh in def build prevented more damages and the 10% reduced chance to br crit was only tricky and i still got crit a lot, even spec full futile strike + that.
Use TB+ warped flesh worked better.
