Go for da soft Spot/Relentless Strike
Re: Go for da soft Spot/Relentless Strike
Yes, that's my point. It doesn't matter if people use NB to create rotations, because even without NB, it's still easy.

Re: Go for da soft Spot/Relentless Strike
Well it's not really NB that looks for if you're behind the target.
It's actually the game itself. You prioritize one skill over another in the chain. And since the behind target one is higher prioritized it fires of if it can. If you gonna remove NB coz of positional things, then remove fainted positioning from WH/WE aswell coz it's just as much of a hack and lack of skill imo. Akso fix the mechanic for BO/SM coz they are almoast unplayeble without NB or a mod that swap hotbars.

No. Feinted positioning removes the restriction. Nerfed Buttons chooses, for the player, between two skills based on battlefield conditions.
And if you can't play SM/BO without help... quit the game. Seriously.

^ this. I never understood why people complain about SM/BO's stance dancing mechanic when it is relatively easy to get to grips with.

I don't agree at all that NB choses anything here. You do your best to get into position so it can fire NB doesn't move you into position so it can fire.Azarael wrote:No. Feinted positioning removes the restriction. I'm pretty sure FP was added to the game due feedback from the beta tests coz of position lags etz.

Re: Go for da soft Spot/Relentless Strike
You can disagree all you want, it's a clear fact. You press the same key every time. NB then chooses, for you, based on your position, which skill to apply. It is NB making that choice. YOU making that choice involves removing NB, binding both skills and pressing the right one for the opportunity.
It is absolutely fine and correct that, when position is working correctly, you pay for a failure to use the correct skill with either lower damage or the skill you picked not firing, and I resent these addons which exist solely to remove the player's possibility to make a mistake. It's as good as a cheat.

I'd like to see switching bars for SM/BO stances one day (when it is possible to modify the client).
The basic mechanic is the same as the mara/SW mechanic, though mythic failed to deliver stance dependant bars for those classes (for unknown reasons...).
Even WH/WE have a separate stealth bar.

Re: Go for da soft Spot/Relentless Strike
lol, I was giong to go with "if you cant play sm/bo without NB roll a knight", but this works too.Azarael wrote:No. Feinted positioning removes the restriction. Nerfed Buttons chooses, for the player, between two skills based on battlefield conditions.

Also, I forget the name (might be in that big pack of addons someone posted a while ago, it used to be popular), but there is another addon specifically made for sm/bo to help people who are bad at using that mechanic, I believe it does something similar to NB but without positionals. So if someone is desperate to play those classes and NB is removed from the game theyd still have an option.
This would not work at all. Just because a sm is in say, improved balance, he still has access to his basic skills. not to mention that would require bars switching more or less every gcd, which would be a total eyesore and probably make it harder than before.Luth wrote:I'd like to see switching bars for SM/BO stances one day (when it is possible to modify the client).

Again, I cant remember the name, but there is an addon other than NB to help those classes. Or roll a knight/chosen. Or, you know, do what Azarael said.

Re: Go for da soft Spot/Relentless Strike
Well we agree to dissagree then. How about the FACT that the spells doesn't fire of when it gets highlighted on the hotbar wich was my original intent with this post.

Re: Go for da soft Spot/Relentless Strike
There's allready a mod that does this. I can't remember the name of it, but it basicly changed your hotbar based on what stance you were in. So stance 1 hb 1, stance 2 hb 2 and so on.Luth wrote:I'd like to see switching bars for SM/BO stances one day (when it is possible to modify the client).
