Behold the reason I hate getting involved with this discussion: people want to have their cake and eat it.

I'm sure you all know that the optimum solution to this problem is a one-realm lock - preventing players from having ANY investment in the opposite realm at all and promoting working as a faction. However, to implement this when we have only one server will result in the shitstorm to end all shitstorms. So, we're left with half-baked solutions like 8h locks, that still allow players to invest in both realms AND have the added disadvantage of generating backlash from players who aren't invested in either realm but are just chasing maximum personal gain.

Promoting solid RvR comes at a price. It's one that I can guarantee the majority of this server will not pay.

Well, you can't fix people, that's for sure.
Even with all the possible restrictions on xrealming - they'll find a way in a form of win-trading, for example.
Core end game of WAR was truly for dedicated to their side of the realm, at least on my server, until that joke-like redesign of city sieges went live and everybody got free stuff just because they've logged on.

You only need 1 hour side lock out to prevent immediate switches. If you can implement it now and then you can extend lock time if needed.

you guys should consider inventing a buff

that only triggers after 30 mins - 1hr of play that increases rr/exp/medalion/item drop ratres or something of that nature that is a real incentive

that is removed if you switch realms it would encourge players to stick with their faction

Never looked at it from an admin side, just an organized rvr leader side. But i see your problem and am not gonna waste time giving my opinion anymore. Ill just do my part to build up the Order Army and promote some realm pride hoping one day that the old school rules return with forts and the original city siege.

With that said, im looking for an American evening destro organized RvR leader who wants to start waging scheduled wars in the lakes.

to fix problem cross realming login

Put bit timer if you login destro character you cant login in order character for around 6h in primetime and 1h in off times (in start people going bitch about it , but its for good , i sick this crossrealm guys)

my feel BO lock - why - easy to prevent karma train , running around objectives excharge renow/xp/inf , if increase time locked you need pay attention to prevent emey did

and

Zone lock need increase time
Sometimes destro are in elf , order in empire just excharge keeps and bo

You cant capture keep just for kil la lord , need take flag in third floor , or control lord room for 1min or more after lord dead

Wow, people seem to forget that we had all of this once and it didn't worked out well.

We need no timers to prevent xrealming, we have to ensure that both sides have fun without onesided rewards and no effort for the bigger side.

2 accounts: 1 Order and 1 Destro.
It takes 2 days max to get R 32. It takes less than a week to get RR 40.

That sounds like alerts in Planetside 2. Anyway buffs for free is easymode too much. You should make some efforts to get proper rewards and crossrealmers should be punished.
Its better to invent debuff for -50% everything for 1 hour when switching side.

If only 12/7 . Grind is real. I play only few hours once in a while and I am not even 30 RR.
