Return of Reckoning

from the RoR directory on both computers, same folder as the war.exe
installing on c: did not help

I got this one too. I used to play then I changed my internet provider.

1. click on start
2. type into the search-box cmd (before clicking enter press ctrl+shift) then also enter while holding them (runs cmd as admin)
3. the cmd window open up
4. type in:

netsh winsock reset catalog (resets winsock entries to install values)
netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log (resets ipv4 to install values)
netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log (reset ipv6 to install values)

5. restart the computer

this one helped me with a different problem.
since it only resets values you might give it a try...

did not work... still the same issue

Not sure why you think being a smartass makes a bunch of unpaid volunteers any more willing to help you.

I see 840+ people online right now, and I see 7 people posting their problems in this thread. Somehow, I don't think the problem is on our end.
Moreover, even if we could help (which, let's be clear, involves providing tech support in 6 different languages for as many different countries on an infinite number of different installation environments), the people that would have any idea what could be wrong and the people who work on items are not the same people.

I know the problem is on my end since I can log in with my notebook. @Genisaurus: I think you guys do an awesome job here, Serioskillers post seams to be unfair. I apriciate thet all the guys are trying to help. Maybe figuring out the problem takes time. I just run out of ideas what to do exept reinstalling windows what i like not to do if i dont have to do it

You mentioned earlier in this thread that it works on your notebook - the only possible source of a problem is going to be a difference in configuration between your two devices.

Are you using an administrator account on one and not the other (NOT "run as administrator")?
Do you have UAC turned on for one computer and not the other?
Do you have some router settings different for one computer/local IP and not the other?
Do you have a homegroup/workgroup/domain configured on one computer and not the other?
Are you running different Operating Systems?

I could keep coming up with things, but I've never had any issues getting the game to work, so I'm essentially making things up. That's how it's going to be with just about any support you get. But the point remains, it's something different between your two computers.

Its working now. I deinstalled my network drivers complete and reinstalled them. now its working. Thanks for all the guys who helped here to solve the problem. Edit: but only for one time.... dam it

Norw the login fails again.... (i hate this)

Im having the same issue here still trying to fix it i dont know what configurations i should have for it to work but im using windows 7 ultimate too and it might be something in there thats causing it (the game does work randomly) but still need a fix to have a 100% working one
