Single target tree, AP ritual and stagger. If you want AoE healing you'd want a DoK.

You can have fun with all 3 healers and all have their strengths. But as others said, don't confuse this with all healers being equally good. DoK has the highest survivability, healing output and utility, making him the right choice at all times. There is an argument to be made for coupling a DoK with a zealot, but the second you face more than an equal amount of enemies you'd rather have a double DoK setup

Don't stack willpower, you get enough of if off your armour. Focus on your defensive stats. Know how to keep your hots up on those that need them. Cleanse and Detaunt. Try to avoid getting in a rez cycle, in some SCs rezing isn't worth it. This advice goes for any healer.

Alchemy for Single Target big heals(crit heal with 25% boost for around 2.6k and a nice stagger), Dark Rites for AoE(Tzeench's Grip for blanket on top). Middle tree has nothing good in it.

Thanks

So does shammy have no place? I thought insta rez alone would make the class tempting to party play

Or does all the anti kiting, shatter confidence etc really bone the class late game

Shaman is very op. "Chargin hiz lazor" through walls and behind himself (outside of cone of sight) is unbelievable. Once it hits you you cannot run away from it.

DoK is a noob stomper, perfect for pug scenarios but not much of an use in a premade.

Donno about zealot.

Shamans are great for the kiting they can provide with their pool and are hard to chase/kill due to some of their tactics.

right now the Shaman is that he has all heals in one tree, meaning that in comparison to Zealot, he can do both groupheals and ST. His resistance buff doesn't stack with chosen, his AP drain gets disrupted very often and kiting often kills your group. It can work right now but it takes more effort than the others and the result is similar

This entire post gave me cancer.

Any advice about how to play with a DoK? Is it neccesary to be in the front always to get energy for healing?
Nope, you're not supposed to stay in front at all because it puts you in a dangerous place. You can do it sometimes so you can spam Essence Lash (lvl 13 ability which gives 15 essence per enemy) but you will put yourself at risk of getting focused.

First thing you need is a chalice, white one gives 2 essence per tick, green one 4, blue one 6, purple one 8 so better quality = more essence.

Below rank 20 you're mostly supposed to throw your HoT (Soul Infusion) ability to everyone and spam your 5s cd direct heal called Khaine's Invigoration. Don't use Restore Essence at all. If you're out of essence use Blood Offering.

Most parties would pick zealot over shaman because how good it synergies with DoK.

before desperation, and ap proc from sov gear shamans are quite lacking. Constant ap hunger and nothing special healing wise.
Still best skill's animations from all classes, there are some moments where that is just enough
