Though I wasnt really that bothered with getting into the Q&A I might have a look at it at some point. I will say a while back I went and read all the past State of the Games that Mythic released while the game was still getting attention and some of the feedback from players back then. So little ever changed and Mythic really didnt care about balance. I think internal problems at Mythic killed any progress the game could have made. All the issues that the game had at launch were all still there when it died.
Change is good.

Really sad what happened yesterday...
But I still can't make up my mind on what was the saddest, between the speech detailing Torque past behavior, or the fact that the speech was quite a low blow. Speaking of Torque while he was not here to defend himself of these accusations, and all this in front of the community...
That's why to me there is no side that is better than the other. Torque past behavior was not worse than the conditions on which Aza made his speech, at least in my opinion.
Ashes and dust, human. Ashes and dust...

Thing about it for a second. Why he wasn't during Q&A in the first place

Because he knew he'd draw flak?szejoza wrote: Mon Sep 10, 2018 11:56 am Thing about it for a second. Why he wasn't during Q&A in the first place

The public execution of Torq obviously was seen as the only way to remove him.
Going by the info/case presented if it is legit (and server rules) he obviously should have been removed ages ago. This did not happen which is disturbing.
Ofc you can go after the messenger or the method but tbh what would be the point?

A reasonable RvR system that could make the majority happy http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7

Torque was invited but declined to join because he wouldn't be able to moderate the questions. Simply a coward who has no defence against these accusations+evidence.ToXoS wrote: Mon Sep 10, 2018 11:52 am Really sad what happened yesterday...

Anyone that puts themselves up on a large project that can get flak from a community, particularly of gamers, gets my respect. Ive worked on large projects with stressful situations when people with differing ideas and some opposed to directions that it takes are involved. It is hard on anyone to put effort into a project and see it going in a direction you dont wish it was. I would never put myself for judgement by a community in any project. If you really cant then I advise to stay in the background and dont get involved with the community. Its better for you and its better for the project.

So he's only take part in the QnA if he could dictate what questions where asked and answered?Lileldys wrote: Mon Sep 10, 2018 12:05 pmTorque was invited but declined to join because he wouldn't be able to moderate the questions. @devs.
how long is this torque drama going to go on and on...? Its not good for the server. Whatever benefit of doubt he has is now gone. There's too much evidence and commentary from too many respected former dev team members.
