???????????????????????????????????

I don't know where you got this idea from but peterthepan =/= every 6 man group ever. Besides the idea to give people a damage buff or the like if they have AAO is horrible. Some 6 mans can 'zergbust' just fine on their own.

that's true: decent 6mans can do that. the buff was more thinking of rvr players who may be bored of zerging. just food for thought really

Vent, premade class setups, various addons, gear gap, blue pot purple talisman farming/crafting. There are loads of things that give advantages to a certain type of gamer. Some players are better off in the zerg. When I pug queue scs against the pres Ill have players in gear 2 tiers out of date who hardly know their class. I'll usually be doing 4 times the dps/dbs as these dps, tanks dont switch and healers dont kite. The zerg is there for a reason. Forcing these people into having to smallscale in rvr as well as scs to be fed into the premade mincer aint fun for them and they will quit. scs are about smallscale. rvr is about realms. Stop trying to turn the game into a moba.

Grimmrog wrote:WAR is a RVR game if you make it a group game it would suck. It's meant to be big battles. And the better organised and skilled zerg will always outclass the mindelss zerg. Those claims wanting to "reward" skill much more looks more like the need of some elitistic people wanting to rule the battlefield in smaller numbers not having to organsie larger potions of their realm. But for those we have scenarios. Thats where they are supposed to go.
First off, who made you an authority on what WAR should and shouldn't be? If I want to do smallscale; I'll do smallscale. If you want to zerg; you can zerg.

Second, there isn't a 'skilled zerg'. Fights between zergs in oRvR end for one of two reasons:
1. Using aoe damage morales at the same time(which is not skill intensive despite what you might tell yourself)
OR
2. One side outnumbers the other

Third, muh elitism. Fine, if if you want to write all 6 mans off as such I can write WBs off as being skillless zerglings with no drive to improve themselves in a hugbox environment where nobody can tell who messed up so nobody did anything wrong. The pinnacle of effort required is mashing your AoE button and using your big damage morale when the WB leader tells you to.

Sorry for trying to promote more individual skill-based PvP in a PvP game and suggest alternative ways of enjoying PvP. Some of these people in the zerg may not have even been given opportunities to try out other types of pvp/be none the wiser. Simply dismissing people off as belonging to the zerg is ignorant and pretentious.

Its an rvr game. If the pres got involved with their realms instead of their cliques they might be able to affect the campaign. I dont see them playing with the guys just having fun in green gear joining open warbands. I do. Many other veterans do too.

Btw in this game there is extremly low skill cap, its a team game you move as one in WB and even in 6v6 as well.

I no longer recognize the beast I created. It has evolved into an unidentifiable and somewhat monstrous being.

I will say this, I have characters on both sides that I love playing, in different tiers, same tiers.
If I do switch, I do not directly oppose the tier I was in, especially if I logged angry, if I do directly oppose the tier I was in I have a hard policy of not killing friends, well if they happen to kill me, they may meet with one inexplicable battlefield injury, on a case by case basis of course.
Ultimately though, I am making friends and one faction is beginning to pull me more and more, although I do tend to stay where I started, win or lose.
This issue will probably resolve itself organaically, and maybe it's best to allow it to do that?

Every thread has turned into it. It has turned into a propaganda war across the forums. It is best just to ignore it completely. Some people have made good comments for both sides but they are largely ignored as certain people try to push their agendas.
