Because the devs left the in respawing ai champion things in the keeps that provides a nice safe area" for them to hide/hold in and without guard or heals its kinda... "hard to kill" people entrenched in the keep whom have guards and heals and npc assist dmg

It is so funny to die allone vs the bugged guards who came out of nowhere through a wall (4x at once) 1 hitting one.
Or just die vs 1 Champ + 1 player and respawn in another zone for even more 5-10 minutes walk to the keep.
**** gets even funnier when some 1v1 op class waits for you somewhere on the way and gank you...

Melees sneaking inside without any sort of healer = FAIL... Jm2c

That works mainly when sieged forces are small, sometimes up to medium when players are not organized / experienced. With any battles that either have medium forces involved with many experienced or organised players or any big battles there will be plenty of players on the walls, including healers, WL patrolling, guarded targets, etc + also players/groups camping posterns. Which mean infirtation by most mdps impossible, and by WE/WH hard + insta focus & death after destealth.


(PS. And I know how to use CW, detaunt, stealth, pots, escape tools - now think of all mdps who don't spec for rvr harras survival or/and dont have such tools in their class or build).


PS2.
Guards (those from right behind the gate) coming through walls does not help as well. Same goes for harrasing around inner keep - also guards coming through walls. This is off-topic & I don't know if that can be fixed but walls / pets problem is still here and it is quite a severe one. Just because players like me started to treat that as 'normal' - it does not change the fact that it impact pvp and player behaviour.

RoR in it's current state puts alot more emphasis on Keeps then WAR ever did durning it's best ORVR systems. The best (imo) systems put the moast emphasis on BO's and ORVR fighting,
I think that making BO's harder and Keeps easier would be a much more inclusive to all classes and builds as moast of em takes place in semi open terrain. I understand that the Keep rank system are on it's way but from what i gathered from that it's just more changes to Keep seiges.

Mdps don't use pick lock coz running up on walls is just massivly dissfavoured for em. No LoS to ressurect or heals, No guard and often against superoir numbers. And as the game seeems to just put more and more emphasis on the Keeps, we gonna see more and more rdps, and if that rdps also happens to have massive advantages in Keep Defences. Like Engies/Magus currently does. Those are the classes we gonna see defending.

Keep infiltration need a skillfull player and give high reward when is success.If you are stealth class is more easy because you can hide ,watch and attack when you find an opening.For non stealth mdps you need awareness of the enemys firstly(because you go from postern and they can see you).Secondly you need to know guard npc range and if you are solo, how to die if you cant escape and deny the enemy rr by dying from npc.If you are a party with a healer you must communicate at least and have a good positions in wall when you killing so he can heal you.The healer option give more kills and lot of rr.If something goes wrong, you just jump from walls to the attackers safety.When i can earn 400rr +( the lowest in solo kill) and an officer mettalion why i will not do it as a stealth mdps.Ofcourse when you infiltrate somewhere and you kill something they will search for you this is not an argument to not do it and say these rdps targets me i cant do nothing.There are many choices but people want the easy way like staying and looking the door.Ofcourse rdps were the best at keep fights in real life.Eng and magus range is fine with that upgrade they get, they become long-range classes.You want to stop them just infiltrate and secure the walls and oil from defenders.Use your brain how to play as mdps vs range there many ways.Ofcourse range has the advantage but again infiltration to keep is one of the many ways and yell good rr also.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if a bunch of Mdps picklock and enter the courtyard and manage to kill one af the guards outside the keep, when we mass outside 1st wall, will that not in turn, hinder that the defenders (in this case bearded things, umies and twigs) when they die, to respawn inside keep and instead end up at the nearest WC?

Works for solo play, not when you're in a composed warband as they can't take the risk of loosing outgoing dps and group utillity coz mdps wanna run on the walls and try to get solo kills. Solo kills doesn't do anything for your realm progression, working as a tight unit and taking the objetives does. And that mdps is in that warband composition coz he brings something to it. The top kills in zones etz means nothing for the ORVR progression atm. Thats all bout personal progression. It's actually usually more of a sign of people looking for easy kills rather then working for the realm. In the end it's the organized RVR guilds who have an impact on the zones and awards everyone else the Keep/Flip RR ticks. And they don't condole mdps running on the walls unless it's an empty keep to take out the forman.

First Step could be to give MDPS after Picklocking a Buff that makes them unaffected from NPC aggro. Something like a Anti Aggrorange buff. Or just make the Guards "orange" instead of red (hostile) for their Picklock buff duration. :?: :idea:

In wb composition you have your mdps going from postern, go to oil room killing foreman and secure oil room.Giving your team at ram time to make free hits without thinking of oil.As someone mention in keep fights outer door must hit hard and fast.Oil spawning stop this action(door hitting) and rdps on wall.In most keep fights we have max 2 to 3 pug wb(and some premades) and lot mdps stay behind or die by oil.A cordinate mdps attack from postern by 2 premade partys of mdps can bring havoc to pug defenders.This again buying you time for first door fast break.Worked in real life from ancient history to modern armys codexes.The sieges that we have here are not the same as i experienced in live.Again if we speak for 2 to 3 Organize wbs in ts that all knowing their role again is 1 tactics of manys.Again a guy wrote in forum what actions needed to take a keep and still it is not happening.If fortresses implement and if someone remembers the cordination you need to capture them.In fotresses defenders and attackers were equal numbers.To participate in fotress siege if you realm passes a fix numbers of players you couldnt enter so none was afk and everyone had each role.You dont need any buff when you can avoid them by going from stairs to wall and npc not attacking you.The dev team i am sure that they fix the npc pathing etc.Again if we talking about this your party healers they know that you going postern and you have the awarness to stay at their aoe range heal.To do that in pug wb you must first see if your healer is there or afk, then write in chat that we go in and cordinate and positioning.
