just got to the end of page 17, and to be honest im kind of surprised how many people openly talk about their rights on the topic of a server wipe. why am i surprised about a number of very self righteous 'you cant wipe because i have played loads and will leave if you do'?
well im surprised because everyone on this forum/privet server gets to play the game for FREE. and it all comes from the devs own free time. they have jobs and family too, and they are not payed for this. just makes me sad that so many people (not all obviously) cant just get with that.

that said i would also not LIKE a server wipe, but if it happens, it happens you will still get to play a game that technically died along time ago.

Here's why we have a right to speak about a whipe or any other major change in the RoR project:
The game needs us. No players= no game.

Of course it is the Devs work, Devs servers, Devs time and the final decision always belongs to them

But I don't see anything wrong with simply discussing and giving your opinions on a subject. It's actually necessary, and a good thing for the game.
Tbh if I had to start all over again from the begining with all of my goddamn toons I would probably stop playing, or at least take a really long brake, and alot of people would do the same. We're just letting "the management" know, so that when it comes down to a decision they can take it under consideration, that's all.

Being butthurt about ppl having opinions on a forum does not make you have the moral highground, it just proves you dont understand the concept

let me rephrase. i did not mean people do not have the right to express their opinions on the matter, i meant players trying to claim rights and reasons of development just because they play the game.

Wipe dont do anything good for game only upset most of players who spend good amount of time to level characters.

Alfa, beta doesn't mater too it isn't new game but reverse engineering all ready existing (closed) game so balance is all ready there and will be restored with T4 tieer, T1-T3 was/will be always unbalanced becouse gaps between starting and finishing level of each tier.

Even footing will not happen too, players who play live or even lots in RoR will be always step ahead as they know game

Gold doesn't matter there is hundreds craters who will stockpile even more gold if wipe happen as every one will need their stuff again

High prices? we have them only becouse there is certain items call "best in game" with new lvl cap that will be worthless items like happen all ready few times with lvl cap increase

Over all most laud calls for wipe is from jealous players who cant get over with idea as some one can play game better or have more time for play and they always feel owned and still be owned even if wipe will happens on daily base.

well only devs can tell how many hundreds of thousands of exploited gold is in the game. i for one have absolutly no problem with a fresh clean start once we reach beta or some sort of release.

@Khrum whata re you so worried about? its just gold... farm and get it back again.

They have had to wipe entire player contents before (a few times?) due to various bugs and exploits.

Before T2 came up I had farmed this area with my Sorc, actually me and Github, and when I finished I sold my pack contents, including a single item that had a stack of 65000 trash items lol!!!

Needless to say I ended upwith something like 600 gold when there was litterally nothing to spend the gold on lol.

Im thinking some point after that there was a massive wipe because next time I logged in (some point after t2?) there was only 1 gold and no items in backpacks for all of my toons.

Ifs funny, I remember when this all started everyone was saying they wanted to get into the alpha test server to "help" the devs with bugs and classes and so on, that was the big thing, get as much of your friends in to play and help out even though admitting to knowing its a alpha server and the chance of wipe was there. Now a lot of these people want to have their cake and eat it too. Now they are pretty much saying that the devs let them play so long and they invested so much time and effort (even though knowing this is a alpha test server) that they should not wipe... Sorry kids. Just because your point of view changed somewhere along and you wanted to create 15 toons for your own desire dosnt mean that the term ALPHA server and the devs plans have changed or need to change for you.

I for one play quite a bit. have more then 1 toon, have a good amount of gold. I have farmed a lot and so on. But i have not forgotten that every thing I do in this game or how much time I spent does not change the fact that this is a test/alpha server. I think there should be no wipe TILL t4 is out and all ability's worked and keep loot bags. Then at that point do a wipe, but announce the start of the server and post it everywhere in social media. I know a lot of high level/good players waiting for the full release of this server and I think that making a wipe and advertising the hell of it will attract more people then we have now because a lot of them will come back and start fresh with everyone. It will also help balance a little since the servers are fresh everyone will pick the side/toon they like best and work on that toon for a while before x-relming gets as big as it is now because everyone will be racing towards t4 zones/armor just like live and maybe, just maybe we will see some realm pride for a couple of month and have that competition between sides.

I understand where the ppl that dont want a wipe are coming from, its rough, I been there and farmed for hours already but its whats best for the server. I seen ppl get banned 2-3 times and have no problem starting a new toon right away like nothing. So idk what to tell you but accept it for what it is, a alpha test server, or bite the pillow. Either way we all know this is the best pvp game out right now so for those sore gamers that cant get around it we know they will be back for the big launch date when they see everyone else getting ready and guilds getting more serious about it to take off on the race to t4 and be the 1st/best since it will be a official server.

At the end everyone is entitled to their own opinion, just like this is mine and yours in yours. But we have to put that aside for whats best for the server. At the end of the day the ones that know how bad it is or good it is are the Devs, with what ever decision they make we should accept and be happy that we get to play this game. They put more time and effort than anyone has put into farming or playing. so if that is your high horse, get off it and enjoy the game.

You know my comment is legit and it proved your theory wrong about 'economy in a good place' cause we all know thats not true.

This is what you said about crafting:

That is the definition of laziness.

You are complaining that you don't make gold when you choose to not spend the time in the most common method of making it. Do you see how brain-dead your line of reasoning is?

Since you're an expert on real life work it should be no problem for you to understand... want the $? Work for it.
