I never said he wasn't a melee DPS, though. But the stereotype for most damage-dealers are "melee single-target" and "mage AoE".
Regardless, you've yet to make a proper argument as to
why these classes should
only be healers, when they have an entire mastery dedicated to dealing damage.
All I see is a whiny child that got their bums whipped in a scenario, threw a hissy fit when they noticed an Archmage wasn't tunnel-visioned on them with healing, and went straight to the forums about it.
Again, though. Why would they have a damage-centric tree if they were meant to never deal damage?

We are not talking about steriotypes. We are talking about class archetype. Why do you even said that, to delair convesation?

1) Not to derail, no. The archtype definition was put in place to give people an idea of what their role may be when playing that class. Every class is capable of damage-dealing, not all classes are capable of tanking or healing, but all can deal damage.

dps healer haters still miss a point - there no difference in pug sc, if dps healer will dps or he will be on "true" dps, all of you don't get heal anyway.
so again, blame only yourself for pugging

i love to play as healer, got all the healer classes just bc i like it tho i respect ppl whom want to get fun playing em as dps. Let them play w/e they want to, you dont pay their sub!

sooo... let me see if i get this right... we are hated, not good enough for premades, yet according to some people, we should get nerfed on damage, which would make us even less "premade worthy", and then the game would be more balanced? just sounds like another way to say stfu and be my healbot to me ^^

There's nothing preventing the upset DPS players to play healers themself.
Just saying.
But I know it's "boring and tedious" so others should do it.
It's been a problem MMOs had since the dawn of time (even though in early MMOs they were held in high esteem, so more people were playing them).
