While some tanks, go dps spec trying to compete with actual dps, most do not.

Most go offensive tank, to do a little more damage and maybe actually kill someone now and then while still having better surviablity than a dps class would.

Or they go 2 H for a special attack, or ablity to help their team etc. as long as they can still perform the basic ablity of guarding someone, and aren`t so squishy that they themselves need guard,

My chosen, doesn`t often spec 2H however when he is speced 2H he is still running 750 toughness, 7647 wounds, and with suppresion up sitting around 55% parry , if i get the extra 10 % from armor or weapon proc i`m at 65 % while having over 500 str . which is plently . I could actually drop 50 or more toughness and still be ok , but hes not 40 yet either.

Black Orcs neither get a special ability with 2H nor can they get enough parry to reliable guard people without dying

True, I wasn`t just refering to Black orcs, they can easily go S+B while being offensive and do just fine. Someone else stated that 2H tanks shouldn`t even be healed , because they are useless lol.

But they can do pretty good damage while SnB. I'm gonna try this spec next time i play mine:

Yeah, no Big Brawlin or YSMBD. This is a spec just for fun and not for utility or group play. And actually, it is pretty good for soloing in the lakes. In fact, if you focus on soloing in RvR, i recommend this spec over any BB/YSMBD variation. Maybe replace Loudmouth with Lookin' for Opportunity (some 1v1 fights are decided by whoever gets to use his morales first).

are you not bummed about the anni / merc sets? That extra point just seems so useless for the main BO build with BB.

Can the extra point actually take you above 15 points in the tree? ie - make da biggest bellow even stronger than 120 stat steal?

Haven't really checked the BO T4 sets yet (too busy dying on my Engi).

Everyoe can do a difference and everyone should get healed. But 2 handed tanks are often low on priority in this case as if a healer has to chose who he shall heal and save from dying. Then they will almost everytime chose a real dps or a SnB tank that does not try to be a dps over a 2 handed tank.
And i understand that. its more important to keep the real dps and tanks alive.

best is if you can keep everyone alive, but thats not always an option, sometimes players will die and then its better or atleast not as bad if its a 2 handed tank insted of a dps or SnB guarding tank that dies

and there lies the screw up as i stated earlier in this thread, not every tank that is 2H is not guarding , hell my chosen when I am 2 H still has over 50 % parry, 750 toughness and over 7500 wounds, fully capable of guarding someone and hes only 36 in crap gear.

Just because you see a tank with a 2 H you auto assume they are not guarding anyone, are dps tanked and have low toughness and wounds, def etc, and see them as a liability, which isn`t always true.
