It doesn't because 10% proc is unreliable, so you just end up with a useless buff.
I've had several White Lions tell me otherwise. In fact, this build seems to be independently favored. The 50% AA speed helps proc the armor debuff more often, and they can get the added damage from Primal Fury that would otherwise have been unavailable without giving up Lionheart. I can't speak to the value of Lionheart, but it's a different build than what is usually seen, and that's a good thing. You could even spec Hack and Slash, and spam Slashing Blade/Whirling Axe if you were so inclined. AoE WL's weren't even an option before, now they're on the table.

At the end of the day, it's a new option that wasn't there before. If you don't like it, you can buy Duelist, or mix/match.

Order bias confirmed once again, changes made to satisfy WLs and marauders not included into equation

Couldn't you make the set bo just be overwhelming or something?

No Mara will skip going up sav as going up it buffs tb to 1.3k hp debuff or so along with acess to deadly clutch

10% chance is very slim and unreliable all this will do is make deva irrelevant to maras or atleast the 5 piece

Furthermore the fact that you wouldn't get FO to auto set up lions fury makes me question that build

Irregardless at the end of the day wls will spec fo what ever those players showed you was proably for this level cap as no player would pass up on the highest armor debuff in their faction

Mara will always go up sav and get deadly clutch, tb and cc and no serious Mara would spec monstro over brut

Seriously contemplating this now as we run discord chosen with aoe wounds debuff/heal debuff aura and aoe choppa+aoe bg with it. Remember Wrecking Ball hits 6 times in 3 seconds aoe that is 60% chance to apply armor debuff on 1 target with 13 second cooldown. Gonna absolutely give it a try at least for the giggles if nothing else.

Sav still has the best dps on mara thunderous blows hits like a frigging train as well as debuffing 1400 hp. Loosing 500 off my armour debuff to spec away from it isn't worth it imo.

There're very few procs that will offer me a legitimate bonus on mara. So the helmet slot will just be the rvr purple I think.

as i've already stated in an earlier post, both Hunter and Savagery will stay their core spec when it comes to competitive group play but again: The stat steal you had before was useless. Corrosion will help both classes to bring all of their trees more in line with Hunter and Savagery and will give people the possibility to play something different w/o being a gimp. Further it increases their solo play and their large scale potential.

I already made multiple posts about how strong the marauder in general is and how he has a solution for literally everything. His Monstrosity spec for example is ofc lackluster damage wise (for a good reason) but is an absolute counterplay to what Kings Own does in RvR atm. In that case corrosion will help him and compensate the huge damage loss from going away from savagery. also it will help people if they choose to spec brutality. both trees have their use but getting outshined pretty hard right now, a armor debuff will help without making them fotm since its uptime relies on a proc. in general that means, both mastery trees will be considered to be more viable with corrosion w/o giving an advantage to savagery.

About the WL: pretty much the same as for mrd. especially a solo WL who would love to play guardian but can't due to the strange behavior of pet stance swaps will profit from having corrosion. About Axeman: See Brutality! Both classes profit more or less in the same way from this change and it creates some nice space to play around with both of them.

i really like all of those changes :)

Agreed ^ will be nice to play Guardian/Axe without being reliant on a pet providing armor debuff.
