They are clueless, yes. A free clue for them - if even the Destruction-playing developers are starting to get annoyed with this garbage, then maybe they should reconsider their attitude.

The most public face of the devs on the fourms is you az and as far as most of the poster/readers/lurkers know, your an SM and "ordo main" even though you have other classes even on destro so most assume that the devs are "biased ordo players"

its wrong but thats one way i think it started

Just create an easy to see list of all people on dev / database team and their chars or preferred side. Should put an end to it.
Noiree - Archmage
Annnoying - Disciple of Wayne

gone with the wipe - RIP:
Annoying Lilpieceofsh - Disciple of Khaine, Bikinibabe Withoutbeach - Sorceress, Kekshirn Derkruemlige - Shaman

Probably. It's the cost of taking the position I have - playing the game visibly, on one faction, mostly on one class, and advocating for adjustments to that class as well. I've always believed in engaging with the community as a player as much as possible, to keep my feet on the ground, but even that has a price.

We were going to do something like this at some point. Perhaps it'll now be accelerated.

Or make it worse if indeed most of them play a certain faction. Pay attention that i didnt say FAVOR; i said PLAY.

They can play whatever realm they want to. That has nothing to with the wipe. I have several friends on destro (possibly more than on order) but if it was my decision, i would also have wiped any emblems/gear gained last night.

Is anyone here going to say i favor order? Come on...

How do you see forcing players to choose a faction affecting keep takes so drastically? Do you speculate players will be faction heavy one side? That is the only reason I can see. Still its an unknown, right? not a certainty?

Forget the other ****. I was just proving a point, sorry man. Trust me when I tell you I get it. I've worked in the game industry for a long time. I even know some of the guys who worked on Warhammer. You guys are doing a great job. As good as anyone can in this situation. There will always be squeaky wheels trying to push an agenda, and it not easy to see in this forum of confusion. :?
THUMP - "MEDIOCRE!!" ...Who's laughing now?

If we could force players to choose a faction, the cross-realming problem would be dead, but the core problem here would still remain. It's true that some players, when faced with a strong opposing realm, will buck up and try their best to fight the threat, because it's the only way to get any rewards if they can't crossrealm anymore. However, others will simply log off or go to play scenarios rather than try in ORvR. Posters in the other thread have it right when they say that no system can force players into RvR, or indeed force anyone to do anything. There need to be incentives for players to make that choice. We need to find those incentives. We're giving time for that and not rushing to a decision, because a lot of ideas are coming from all corners. Fundamentally though, the problem we've got is that undefended or lesser defended keeps were giving disproportionate rewards. If we can tackle that we're most of the way there.

It's all cool. Please forgive me if I'm snappy - today hasn't been a good day.

I think you guys should really reconsider the cost of RvR sets. Let's say i have a fully geared BO and i notice my realm is zerging. I would love to log on order but... my SM doesn't have a piece of gear yet or an SC weapon.

I bet many people would gladly play the underdog, but they dont have the time to level an alt on the other faction (much less get him geared). Making leveling/gearing easier might help balancing the realms a little (not saying it would fix it though).

Some of the developers are of the mindset that there needs to be a sense of grind / progression to keep people interested, as this is an MMO. I don't hold a strong viewpoint either way on this issue, so you'd be best reaching out to them. There was another topic on this recently, was there not?
