I dont think rr100 was a bad idea could have been great for the game. They just never balanced it like they did for 80. Shame could have given the game a new lease of life.

I think what really annoys me is they had the code to remove lotd talis and fix the exploit they were just waiting to get the new magic and healing wdps contribution through. I wish we could have seen how that worked out.

Sorry mate they were clueless 1.4.9 would have been another fail
Tanks with self heals ....... just wow!
Redesign of BW/Sorc since they lacked the balls (possibly competence) to remove bugged tallies


Just think of it 1.4.1 > 1.4.9 was spent to undo the horrors of the EPIC 1.4.0 patch

Problem with talis is up classes were dependant on them. Magus, AM, Shaman.
They couldn't remove talis until they added wdps contribution to magic and healing to keep up with pdps. Thats what they were working towards. Too late though.
I doubt self heal would have made it to live the way it was and guardian leap would have been a great addition to the meta.
This was kevin and keaven not carrie and josh. They actually wanted to make real change. Not just desperately hold on to the dok, slayer and bw dominated playerbase.

Your taking some big liberties in your comments regarding the intentions of the devs and creators. It's a little much. And Keaven was the dev in the 12th hour over a dying game that was adding radical changes to PTS and half of them never made the patches. Dhar Wind dumps dark magic. That's all we know. So that's what we have and it doesn't mention dhar wind, which is just a tool to dump all of your mechanic dramatically to zero which is no form to play in. I made recommendations over the years to allow us to siphon down mechanic like they said and it wasn't until the scorched earth nerf casters were able to consciously drop mechanic and those are decisions that were more in line with this Paul's video http://arma3-life.com/forums/index.php? ... must-read/

I don't believe people were meant to drop to zero and start all over as you say, and unless you were in those meetings 8 years ago you shouldn't assume any different. And even if some people had ideas that didn't get implemented, that's MMO's. Not all developers agree on things.

Anything Keaven wanted I hardly call worthy of RoR, for many of his ideas never maed PTS and those that did, never made patches like WPS. I tested WPS, and the end result was my spells at rr100 with the rr100 staffs with the higher wdps was hitting hrader. So casters below rr100 were going to suffer and the gear gap was going to increase. that's probably why after testing, it never made the last 2-3 patches the game saw. It just sat on PTS and died there as well.
