lockout wouldn't fix anything.
Having a small server population and possible locking people to the same side, could have disastrous results. Instead of letting people switch sides to diminish the mass of the zerg, you would lock them in the zerging side.
And thats how servers kept dying one after another back on live.
Bullshit.
Servers died because people stopped eating cactus.
Lockout was fine and working solution until people started to making up bs against it because they want to xrealm. Weather vanes.
+ You can't justify absense of lockout because its how original WHO was working and it was proper solution to avoid current xrealming shitfest.
The sheer idiocy of this "argument" is amazing, as is that people keep coming up with it.
WAR live had
multiple servers. Anyone could have played Order and Destruction both, or with other words, have access to all the content in the game with a single account. Oh, and even live removed the permanent realm lock once they shut down most of their servers. It's easy to forget such "minor" details if they don't happen to support your bullshit.

Whew this is a heated thread.
My 2 cents: if there's a lockout, which I'm not sure I even support, it should be relatively small (30min) and you can only join the side in the same tier that has aao. If that's not possible, then there shouldn't be a lockout. (And I play one side)

Because I am convinced that to play for a kingdom creates more solidarity and spirit of kingdom. Having all the opponent mm creates an atmosphere composed of sworn enemy, uncomfortable opponent and other despicable! His creates backround and makes him want to do the RVR to not let these opponents win ... not just for the token.

I would love to get some statistics from the devs, for example what % of players have T4 toons on both sides and what % of them have logged to both sides during, say, last day?
As of now there isn't even a proper evidence for xrealming. I am close to rr55 and i haven't noticed any strange pop swings yet
The reward system has been changed(from what i remember from Live) and now rewards actual activity and contribution, so switching just to leech the lock isn't really worth it anymore. Am i missing something here?
