Why change the values on buffs and debuffs? It seems it's working already. I like the whole "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentallity. Is there a fundamental issue here?
Is there a problem with how the old values are? 378 standard max resist buffs/debuff has been there forever. 120 max standard ability buff/debuff for stats has been there forever. With some few exceptions. Seems like a lot of unnecessary work.

Read patch notes.
Reduce aoe buffs/debuffs, increase ST buffs/debuffs.
A very logical change.
We are increasing ST potency and reducing mindless aoe.

I read the patch notes. Again is this really needed? Is there a fundamental issue here? Do aoe buffs/debuffs NEED to be dampened and ST buffs/debuffs NEED to be raised? Or is it fine where it is. It's been like this from the beginning, so why change it? Just because you can?
I guess what I am getting at is what do you hope to accomplish by changing these values?

One of the complaints from pretty much day 1 of the game was that loads of single target buffing and debuffing abilities felt pointless to use when there were equally-as-strong AoE buffs and debuffs in the game which were often easier to apply. Now with these changes - 17 years overdue lol - even if there is someone handing out AoE buffs and debuffs it might now be worth also spending a GCD on a single-target buff/debuff to get a stronger effect applied to a specific target.

While I'm all in favor of reducing AOE spam I will note in the case of SM our blade enchants work both ways and two out of three of them have been reduced and that includes the only really useful one of Nature's Blade. Can I get 1.5x or 2x buff modifier if we only trigger it with a single target ability?
P.S. Heaven's Blade may actually be useful now with the general resist reduction but that is TBD.
