Besides you dont need to jump to kite (like some people have claimed, which is 100% bs), and if you do for some reason need to jump in combat, like getting over an obstacle, you should only need to jump once or twice, so you wont get snared that much (plus whoever is chasing you gets snared too), so I dont see any problem with it.

Again I am not against a change to this problem. It's an exploit and I main a melee dps in NA prime. I am just stating that this change specifically will affect cloth healing and rdps. And push the meta further to 2-2-2 as previously stated. I have accepted that this change is put in place and I will adapt my "playstyle", using terrain to maintain distance from melee, on my RP accordingly. My two cents.
Simple fact is, jumping repeatedly got you away faster than just running along on a flat surface, this is fundamentally wrong. Unless your playstyle revolved around abusing this well known and discussed exploit, any detriment to your character is fractional.

FPS players went through the same adjustment when the more modern FPSs came out. It will take some adjusting for sureZeviun wrote:Bunny hopping was always, for me, a way to warm up. It was a way to pace/rhythm the game considering every jump fall in nicely with every gcd. And I don't think I was the only one doing this. And there are also many gameplay/convenience reasons for jumping like already stated in this thread.
I just hope devs realize that by making bunny hopping detrimental it breaks years of habit and gameplay style of some players. I can understand a need for quick fix if there is an exploit - but I hope a better solution is looked into and this won't be forgotten like many other bandaid that already exist in game.
