Well thats unbelievably dumb to search causalities between player class and a vote on a broad incredibly subjective topic about "fun". Biased vote options aint helping either
Thread started as complete trolling but still somehow managed to attract few lads to post really deep cool stuff. Overally nice result ngl it still outshines tons of hypocrisy bullsh** produced here lol

It's rather being ignorant and not seeing the obvious.

The fact that you posed the question in the affirmative makes any data that you gather from this poll completely useless. That's what he's saying
Not only is this qualitative, but the methodology just doesn't work. That's like asking "Would you agree that, like any decent human being, we should let this useless thread die?" the answer is already in the question
You think you're helping the game, you're not. New players join these forums and see a giant thread titled "Fun is decreasing" what do you think their reaction will be?

There’s obviously a lot of bias in this poll. Can people really disconnect how they feel about their main class from how they feel about the game at large.
Some can. Most can’t, as every single patch has shown where a large group of people who play a main that received a nerf made “the sky is falling” type posts or threatened to leave the game.
People always feel things that are closer to home (eg their class) much more than things that are somewhat divorced from them.
For me personally, there’s been questionable balance changes - some that impacted my toons positively, some that impacted my classes positively - and I do feel the class balance team is a weak link, with no clear vision for certain classes, or where others were so over buffed that it reeks of favouritism.
The larger issue for me though is RvR mechanics, which has been dumbed down over time to such an extent that it just encourages braindead blob play, as it’s the most effective risk/reward basis for most players to earn crests and RR. It got further exacerbated by things like realm crowns, so now people look on the map and just tail the PUG WB.
At the same time a lot of mechanics were taken away that enabled people to fight the blob and this, coupled with burn out, let to a lot of the OG guilds to quit. How many these days can field a full guild WB on Discord and do so regularly? It’s no secret that the quality of guilds that is left is a shade of what could be found a few years back.
Previously organised guilds often did not communicate or avoided each other, as they sought pride in fair or outnumbered fights. Now the quality of WB leads has deteriorated (although I don’t mean to criticise them, as I applaud anyone who leads a WB) that more often the blob gets summoned via /1 and numbers are the biggest deciding factor of who wins.
On top of this, the campaign ceased to have meaning. We lock a zone. So what? We push a fort and lock a pairing. So what? When was the last time a city had any meaning? I don’t advocate to gatekeeping BiS gear behind 2am city sieges which led people to throw cities, and excluded a significant portion from BiS, but the campaign must have a meaning.
I don’t know if it’s possible to restore real pride on a low pop server with little to stop people from xlreaming, but that and the campaign I missed most.
WAR felt like war, where people had pride in their realm and fought for the greater good. RoR feels like whatever is the easiest road to grind crests.
I don’t have any answers. I’m not a game dev and don’t pretend to be one, but if we can fix the following I feel we got a much better game:
- properly balance classes, and do minor balancing frequent rather than big ones once every 9 months
- stop blobbing and crest grinding being the dominant game play, enable ways to smash the blob and give smaller scale - and even solo play - have some inpact on the zone
- make the campaign meaningful again, restore realm pride, so guilds fight over honour rather than just e-peen kill scores.
I feel like I’m moaning. I don’t intend to. I just don’t have any easy answers to complex problems, but hopefully my rambling gives a steer on what to fix next.
The roadmap does have a lot of overlap with my thinking, so I remain hopeful about the future.

A couple of thoughts ive been having over the last few months kinda fit into this bigger debate.
a) more tools have been added for kiting and KDA gameplay. Sove speed is argubly the strongest ability with Leading the Charge, not breaking on ability press, making it very versatile offensively and defensively. This is an underlining effect of game being stale and more kill focused than objective focused. Adding a mini version to Onslaught tank set, adding more and more speed up procs on weapons now and in the future, more groupclenses, more immunities, Wez bigger etc. It feels like playerkilling is the balancing direction on gearing, and that is slowly creeping in wider. You see more veterans doing kite groups, more KDA gameplay. And fewer and fewer coin flip clashes, and casulties. Everything is more calculated when the games success and fun messurement is based around having a good screenshot score, than actually playing a Campaign game, and doing the campaign.
b) RvR hasnt been getting barely any focus. While you could argue that the same rvr systems should provide the same fun/boredom over years. I think we need to revist incentives for players. If they got their BIS gear 6 years ago in City, and RR gain is faster than ever and Warcrest are unified. Then the older playstyle and will to endure bad lackluster zonelock mechanics are easier now showing as cracks. When no new gear tiers are introducced, and there is less chase items and only the fun of the game remains to be a factor for logging in. Then if the game is not as fun, you might see players stop logging in simply.
Now I am happy to see some of the game direction shifting back to seperated currencies to some extend. The pve-overfocus is a worrie though! And the balancing gearing direction towards kite and less clashing with casulaties might have to be toned down, othervice we might aswel reintroduce Odjira which this server was against right(?) For rvr gameplay the zone/box/siege mechanics might need a serious big focus push, as its not just enough to go 2020 citysiege rewards and let players endure the zone mechanics any longer. Lotd was supposed to be a testing ground for BOs and zonelocks, but no followup really happend.
Less kite gearing options, and more rvr mechanics where you have a reason to stand your ground and die to stall a flag capture. This cant be solved by random events, it needs to be a focus in the real actual mechanics.
