Reminds me of tanks going DPS in the lower bracket when they actually suck so hard in the early tiers :D GO S&B or go home.

System when a player chooses(before scenario start) a role: dps, tank or healer would be good. Until you haven't minimum number of roles, the scenario does not start.

Additionally it would be better to create a system which accesses automaticly on the players mastery specc and independently choose the SC role. just to be sure

I've been trying to do T2 scenarios during NA time..... I would have taken 6 dps and no healers at that point... so much waiting. While during EU primetime... all the healers are dps AMs

If is not sarcasm (I think is not) thanks Op! :D
But really, why people still complaining and yelling to Dps-healers in Sc so much??? we play the dam game to have fun, not serve YOU!...
"if you want to heal, play healer" they said... what a deep reasoning! <---Sarcasm. NO! I want to heal while I dps! and thats what we do (or at least try)
My main character is a wp (grace) and Im usually (and I emphasize this part because it's actually very frequent) between top 1-6 damage (25k-60k) and 1-4 heals (40k-80)k, despite the result of the match, at the end Im more efficient than most of the people in my team including (and specially) the ones complaning about dps-healers... even tho my class spec still need some fixes . Im a solo player but I always make the best I can to help my teamates, healing, and spamming cleanese. sometimes, I even use divine assault on my teamates when im about to die (if is worth it)
I can bet most of these dps/healer haters are spoiled teenagers that can't accept a defeat and blaming others is the "logical" course of action for them, I mean, I born to win, right? I just can't lose, and if my team lost, It must be somebody else fault... :? I can't imagine a rational adult complaining about this stuff... some of them even pm you with ridiculous complaints, like the last one i got "We lost because of you, you don't kill anything and you don't heal anyone!, thanks!"... I was Top 1 damage and top 1 heals in my team :|

Anyway, you better get use to us, because we are not going anywhere ;)

Damage and healing scoreboards in scenarios mean absolutely ****. You can toss aoes all day as BW, kill no one, the destro zerg bumrushes you and you lose but you got top damage. You can do the same thing as a healer. What matters is, did you get the objectives.

I'm usually for people playing whatever role they want, but when Order is starved for both tanks and healers in every bracket, where Destro has a pretty good balance, you generally are doing nothing but taking up a slot for a class that can actually play a DPS role. An equivalently geared/leveled DPS class will blow your damage out of the water in every situation, and more importantly, tend to have better debuffs and single target focus, which is what is truly important in fights: blowing up the important targets. Which are usually the enemy teams healers.

So when you come in as a DPS WP/RP/AM you are essentially committing yourself, and the rest of the team, to a loss, especially given how the average Destro player is much better geared than the average Order player.

Until (or if) they fix the DPS specs of the healer archetype classes (especially WP) to be competitively equal to regular DPS classes, this won't change, and my opinion of DPS healers won't change. When Wrath has some good damage with a decent healing debuff, I'll change my tune and gladly support the right of a WP to pick Wrath.

Since the implementation of Duelist sets, I run my AM again as a dps, after a short passage in the full Isha way. That was good, but not fun enough.
I decline systematicaly invitation in open as it often appears that people want me for healing only - not implying that much people want me to join lol, but it happens sometimes.
However in sc, I now switch to healing gear and tactics as long as there is no other healer in the parties, or not enough (one per group is often not enough when the group is full of BW...) Not that I can burst heal as a full Isha AM, but I think that since I have the healing skills, I cannot ignore them totally for the sake of damaging. That does not prevent me from delivering a full Force-fed Searing Touch here and then on low-life targets, the same way I issue a full Tranquility-fed Lambent aura on a BW or MDPS when I go damaging.
It brings me variety in gameplay and some kind of self-satisfaction I reckon...
The nightmare is when your mdps goes ungarded into aoe-fueled enemy lines, knowing that you are not able to support them by yourself. Not sure it would be possible either in a full heal spec...
Just to say : I adapt myself to the circumstances, it would be nice that some MDPS return the favour...
The real nightmare is when I am the only one potential healer. In those cases, I hide the chat window ^^

Do people still refer to damage/healing done in scenarios as a means of gauging one's efforts in a game? XD
