Welcome back!

1)viewtopic.php?f=11&t=16#p73
2)Download english download client and WinRar ( client can be downloaded once you make a mypcloud account)
3)open zipped files in WinRar, then extract all the files.
4)https://www.returnofreckoning.com/join. ... =us&step=3
5)download launcher
6) move launcher in game file where all the other files are at, you will see a file called WAR so that place.
7) on the whole file UNCHECK read only.
8) run launcher and play!

good luck!

Remove read only on the game folder.

Remove the write-protection (right click the game folder -> properties -> disable read-only) from all the files in the WAR folder and try again. You may also try running the launcher with Administrator privileges.

If you used the torrent to download the game, the torrent application may still be using the files. Either copy the entire WAR folder to a new location (if you wish to continue supporting the torrent), or move the entire WAR folder to another location to break access to the torrent.

having the common issue, I am hoping using the pcloud zips will fix this. I am wondering if there is an issue with the torrent...

Which "common issue"? The torrent and Pcloud copies work fine ;)

I keep getting the system error that everyone seems to get. I am still working on downloading and unziping the pcloud file.
Error starting: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'E:\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\WAR.exe' is denied. is what I ment by common problem.

Removing read only on the game folder fixes that.

Hey all!

I am eager to return to the reckoning, but I am having an issue installing the game. I DLed it via torrent, but when I attempt to run warpatch.exe it tells me "The patch client is unable to download the file C:\users....\warpatch.bin (0 total errors encountered). Please ensure the game is not already running and there is free space available on the disk."

I made sure all instances of the app were closed, and I have 100s of gigs of data, I'm not sure what's wrong here.

When I try to run the actual WAR.exe, it tells me to run Warpatch.exe first, and I run into the same problem.

I'm so close, any insights?
