a game that has gear progression in pvp will never need skill to be good at it.
You have obviously never played Age of Conan. A well-geared, somewhat higher lvl potato cannot beat a poorly-geared, but skilled vet in that game. Foregone conclusion. If you whiff combos in AoC, you lose. One caveat: casters have no combos, so have advantages, tho a combo-based class played well can still clean house vs them, so long as its player can manage to use the environs to block LoS and close distance: again, SKILL.
Any game w/insta max lvl and no gear progression will have a staying power equivalent to a Jar-Jar Binks comedy marathon. Ppl fight for rewards. Remove tangible rewards and ppl lose interest.

I agree. I have been levelling the alt and playing my other ones since getting 40 on my WL.

Ok but once agian this isn't "end game" the grind shouldn't be this hard at this stage of the game
No one here asked for instant levels but make it eaiser to lvl up, make the kill quest give more than 1k xp
Let sc's reward more rr and xp, the grind from 12-26 is frustrating and painfully tedious and it hurts new players
And it will be even more painful when t3 comes out and t2 becomes a huge dead zone

Aside from the OP joke that was lvling a Kamael in L2 (went 1 - 20 in like 10 mins after they buffed the Kamael start quests thru the roof, to make an already OP race even more OP), WAR/RoR has the fastest lvl progression of the MMOs I have played. L2, AoC, Aion, SWTOR, DDO, GW (only played a bit, but was slower, albeit they had a very different setup there), Archeage trial, EQ2 trial. . All were slower, oft by quite a lot. I would say SWTOR was the closest in speed, otherwise. RoR is very forgiving on the grind if you plan out your path. Biggest block on it I have found was all the good WAR quest pages are 404 nowadays, so picking and choosing paths was a bit harder.

I've had some of the best fights since the increase inrenown per kill.
Are you sure your just not upset people are actually defending the keep now?

Ya, I think NA time zone players and EU players have different experiences, because of the population differences.
Since the change to 3 zones open, instead of 1, NA has been really slow oRvR wise. The zones feel dead and the population feels spread really thin. I'd imagine you guys don't have that same problem.
I'm giving it time, but it's sad how one change can make a game go from feeling alive and active, to dead. lol

3 open zones with lock timer might be easier to implement than rotating 2 open zones but it is the worse system.
