if your overextend that hard you deserve to die and you still have charge, and you still have your pet that can perma snare and let you kite with minimal effort

and yes, you can pounce back to pets.

Didn't there used to be conditions under which you could not pounce? Root/Snare/Champs Challenge?

Also if no cooldown is going to be considered, please at least restrict Pounce to not be useable mid-air, this check exists I'm sure as we used to be able to mount up after releasing from PvE death in capital cities and falling to spawn, and now we cant

I got ChCed on my WL a few days ago and couldn't pounce - the ability tooltip says "You can't use this when rooted" and "You can't use this when stunned"

Pounce is not the problem. Feline Grace is (it shouldn't be more powerful than a M1).

You can not escape Champion's Challenge with anything less than Focused Mind (M2).
