Remember the "Assist the Main Assist" function in the Live game? Same thing - you're still click a button to do the action. Even binding a button to "Assist X" requires you to still make a keystroke.

nb doesnt press any button for you. did you even ever used nb?

all it does on the example of spine breaker:

traditional: you have your main attack on 1 and spine breaker on 2. Spine breaker is greyed out. When you behind a target spinebreaker gets available. you press 2 to do the skill.

nb: you have both your main skill on 1 and spine breaker on 1. when spine breaker is not greyed out, you can press 1 (instead of 2 tradionally) to use the skill, NB does NOT press 1 for you, i repeat it DOES NOT press 1 for you. nothing more, nothing less.

You just explained exactly what's wrong with NB. It's making the decision to use your back attack for you, at the perfect time.

All you have to do is spam 1, NB does the rest. Using positional attacks are one of the few aspects of melee combat that take reaction time and decision making. NB does it for you, giving you a huge advantage over someone not using it.

You should have to hit keybinding 1 for attacks and 2 for positional attacks. Not just 1 over and over and let the addon handle the rest.

if you really think pressing 1 instead of 2 is anything that gives you an measurable advantage the cause is lost and any argueing is useless. (though: you do know nb is freely available for EVERYONE?).

No not really

1. Get a gaming mouse add all the buttons you want in one sequence.
2. Roll your face on the "ONE" mouse button.

If you are smart enough you put the ability with a positional requirement first.

If this bugs you just wait until auto Enemy assist macros are back in the game. They are 100 times more influential in RvR then NB
A reasonable RvR system that could make the majority happy http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7

I'm agiasnt anything that dumbs down an already easy to play game.

I think making positional attacks fire when the conditions are met, without you have to pay attention and even notice when your behind the person does give you an advantage. One that I don't think should be in the game and is not allowed in most MMOs

We simply disagree

Your argument agiasnt nerf buttons is to use macros....which are banable under the ToS? Lol

I like /assist, I don't like it automated

all it does on the example of spine breaker:
This is either the downplayed comment of the year, or you don't know how to use NB. I've never even touched it but playing against it for half a decade I can tell you you are wrong. There are condition checks you can add to strings. If you get rooted, nerf buttons can do a check to see if you are rooted and cast your snare-removal without you even making a conscious decision and zero reaction time required. If you are a melee warrior priest, and a shaman casts a bubble on himself, purge becomes available and you will remove the bubble with zero reaction time or thought.

And how can you say it's not automated? If you are on a healer and spamming your DPS nerf button, but all you cast is taunt, remove enchantment, drink health potion, drink officer potion, armor buff, snare removal, shield rush, perseverance, hold the line.. You may be wondering 9 skills later where the hell is your attacks you wanted.

NB does as little, or as much as you want. It may not automate it for you, but it can if you want. It's all about how much commitment to the addon you want.
Word of Pain and Boiling Blood are no longer able to proc anything. The Bright Wizard College has confirmed this is a big deal. (stealth nerf)

I don't think the poster see it as a problem. Their own explanation as why it's not a big deal, I view as an issue with NB.

Player A has to be conscious of when they are behind the player to use positional attacks and has to have the reaction time to use the ability when they are behind. Positional attacks are suppose to be harder to execute, it's part of the reason they do more damage (not all of the reason mind you).

Player B has to hit 1 over and over, NB handles the rest. Lol

II find the argument that we all have access to it so it's fine to be a pretty weak one. Everyone can have access to warbuddy and actually cheats, that does make those ok.

I'm just pointing out to you that the EVIL MAGIC of NB is possible with the simplest MMO mouse as you seem to lack basic gaming experience and understanding.

I also suggest you actually read the TOS.

It sounds to me like your making assumptions and half assed arguments.

Where in my post do it ever advocate for using hardware macros instead of software ones (or NB). I think I even went out of my way to say. I find hardware macros to be cheap as well.

You seem to be operating under the assumption that if you can use a hardware macro to do the same thing as a software one, it makes it alright.

Just because I can murder someone with a knife instead of a gun it doesn't make it moral.
