No I don't feel that putting hdebuffs as strong as 50% on tanks is not the right solution


You want to buff them you should focus on their group utility in buffs



Furthermore blorcs get medium punt options with mor hardcore, blorc dosnt need a medium punt their better off with a super punt

what about instead of heal debuff to give them something like was on warp or what the hell was that set - reduce next incoming heal by X ammount. it would stack with heal debuffs while wouldnt turn them to mdps

lets say some fixed ammount. for example :
at lvl 20 avarage ST heal is 1k, so BO/SM ability would reduce direct heal taken by 200 HP. On your own its even worse than WP 25% heal debuff. but when combined with lets say choppa one it would be 1000-500-200 = 300 , and with BG - 1000-500-250-200 = 50.
So when used without thinking its bad. When used in organised play it might be quite devastating to finish off target.
It would need some average cd ofc

Well to make SM "meta" they have to have something that IB and Kotbs can't already bring to a party, and that is usefull with meta group setups (DPS AM is not exactly meta).

Knight can:
>group crit buff
>group incoming heal buff
>Aura stat gains / AP regen / Aoe 25% outgoing heal debuff / tri res debuff
>3 sec KD
>triple enchant shatter
>AP drain
>AoE wounds debuff
>10% AoE lesser chance to be defended against

IB can (all buffs are self + oathfreind)
>armor debuff
>10% crit buff
> str/toughness/ws buffs
> magic dmg bubble buff
>50% outgoing healdebuff
> ini and 25% parry buff
>3 sec KD
>armor buff
>corp res buff

There just isn't a lot of meat left on the bones after you look at those two. Incoming healdebuff was the first thing that came to my mind, but I might be missing something else.

What if you tied it into their 13 point channeled abilities, so that the each hit puts a stackable heal "reduction" equal to the damage dealt each time. Would sort of fit in with "DPS/2H" theme these classes have?

Does anyone even spec for those channels?

Whispering Wind would be AWESOME on BOs since it would be the PERFECT counter to Slayer's Shatter Limbs. So maybe just make WAAAGH give the same buff as WW.

SMs would need something specifically made to counter Destro meta (Marauder?) but i have no clue what it could be. Maybe Phoenix's wings makes his group Unmovable (therefore immune to pulls) for 4 secs (but then PW would need a 20 sec CD).

their channels are what gives them burst combined with crit chance tactic. for BO even more thanks to crit dmg increase tactic.

it should be better on some horrible ability that is never used :D

If you are talking about Tree'hit Combo and Ether Dance, the answer is almost always and sometimes, respectively.

The only way i can think of bringing SM into the meta is bring classes that sm pairs well with into the meta except i dont think any one will ever pick dps AM and WL really tough RoR is diffrent from live so things can change

Dps blorcs always specd tree hit and dps bos will spec that when doing brawler + tough

If you want to make SM counter mara pull then make it so that all your grp makes become immovable when you activate wall of darting steel along with the usual benefits

Great classes, and I know you're all trying your best here to make this game as is was, but the knock back and knockdown are not working properly at the moment. They worked better before. Without them, tanks don't have much purpose during battle or keep defense anymore. The punt and knockdown are essential functions and need to return to how they were. Tanks are not a dps class as a whole and the people complaining about the punt clearly don't get it or they don't play the class. Putting immunity's on these abilities breaks the class and is not how it was in live. Sorry to inform you all, but we aren't suppose to just stand there an use 'Hold the line" all day.
