We must just have wildly different opinions on what RoR is supposed to be then... imo the incentive and the gain is in doing the pvp/rvr itself, not farming pve and then going "aah finally my Chosen's in BiS gear, let's shelve him and start farming for the next toon". If you want to do that then, as you say, it's your "right" as a player, but that gear shouldn't (imo) give you an edge in pvp. It seems to be the same divide with, for example, Oldplayer - people who think farming/pve should be a core/important/required part of the game - even when that affects pvp - and those who don't.

Whoever said that? I merely stated that it's a given fact at the current state of affairs, anyone not seeing that is obviously blind IMO. Especially since PvE IS and SHOULD BE a part of the game.
Going out with my chosen time and time again to clobber people brings me joy, yes. But what else? Not being productive while pvp-ing seriously is just lazy.
Of course I'd prefer more pvp as well, but everybody has several chars to enjoy the game from different classes, no idea what's there to complain...

That's actually closer to the original game isn't it? You could do pvp from lvl 1 and never have to farm a thing, you just had to get your lvl/rr and influence up by doing pvp. There were instances and later on LoTD etc obv (which I still never really liked) but at least it meant getting a group and working with other players, rather than just endlessly killing the same pve mob. As for the technical difficulty, I can't comment as I have no idea but I'd assume you're right.

Yes, but those circumstances are currently not given, and that's the problem. People need to stop looking at the current server like it's able to fully represent how WAR used to be. The PvE WAS part of WAR, a improved kind of trade/drop/whatever system was not.
While it's still on its way to be a perfect mirror of WAR we should stick to what's given and try to make the best of it, as far as I'm concerned.

I am very well aware of that, it still is an inflation of supply. The term is not exclusive for cash values only.

Nobody should have worse gear because he prefers nonstop PvP over farming mobs in WAR RoR.

That's exactly the point. It is part of the game. And it's simply the case for t1 that people that solely focus on pvp have worse equipment. Deal with it.

I'm a bit confused about it all now but we seem to be focusing on different things then Corhall: where RoR is now and what could be done to change it (and indirectly solve other things) and what RoR is like right now... I'm not sure where we went different ways but it was probably somewhere in my own post!

As for the bit about inflation, I pointed that out because I personally found it misleading. You said "[] answering inflation with inflation... tricky." but they're referring to two drastically different things: one to the benign increase in the supply of BQ gear, the other to destructive gold inflation. You shouldn't fight fire with fire, but if you're actually using the second "fire" in that sentence to refer to "water", it's not so bad Hope that doesn't come across as pedantic, I just didn't see it as raising a valid problem with noisestorm's suggestion.

[And just to your last part, generally I'd say you're absolutely right about not feeding trolls, but unfortunately I'm not so sure that that person was trolling as prejudice and/or discrimination against Russian people seems to have a general acceptance by a lot of people in this community, even indirectly by people you wouldn't expect it from.]

OT : I believe they should do w/e is best for the future of the server.
Losing all fair earned gold i got so far wouldn't be nice but if a wipe has to happen to get the server back on the right way, no problem with me.
Sometimes drastic measures have to be taken to get a good result.

So you admit that you abused bug to getting profit. Selling medalions or deci bought with them is same.
You can say you were doing that for global good of community, but truth is that if you would be interested in just helping ppl, you would give away free medalions/deci, not charge for them. Your hands are dirty buddy.

Im not at all saying im innocent, i am well aware that the medallions i have are due to a bug which occurred by mistake, which cant be said about the ppl with huge amounts of gold.
I always give decimator armor away for free, you wont have to look far to find someone i gave decimator armor to for free or purchased items for them from the ah, that being said if i started off giving deci sets away for free to ppl i dont know they would just sell it themselves for alot more then 50s a set.
You make out as if im the bad guy or im partly responsible for a gold wipe being spoken about when i have at most 100 gold on all of my chars.
If the devs want me to destroy all the medallions i have then i have np doing that, im not greedy, i dont intend to profit off this, i cudnt care less about gold.

There are basically 2 types of players that are rich in the current economy
1. Exploiters that cheated and created gold
2. Traders/farmers that farmed rare items and sold those to exploiters or other players in a duped economy

Either way these players has dirty money and anything that has been traded in this economy that has future value is dirty.

Anyone saying I've earned my money legit are missing the point since they are benefactors of the exploit. Intentionally or not doesn't really matter.

I'll simplify this lets say I have a friend that created money would my AH trade where he buys my Militia Cleava for 20 000 gold make the money legit. Answer is no and evidently any trade over AH has been affected directly or indirectly by prices going through the roof.

What woories me most is ...
If RoR get a reputation for being a place of gold exploits and duped economy it will fail. This game will rely on players recruiting other players and that will not work if this is not dealt with forcefully. If game fails what is the point?
