What about playing a grace spec with wrath gear and a 2h? Since healing is increased with dmg? Im new to game so still learning the ropes here.

Been trying this lately, but im only lvl 30. Since i felt that a full wrath spec was to squishy. I cant kill things 1v1/1v2 but I dont die either. Ive been able to tank multiple opponents until i get some back up.

its lost nearly every function for oRVR healing. outside of trying to go in melee and taking infinite damage. theres no reason or benefit to playing grace over salvation(there already wasnt so its even worse now). you "can" still do it but its just objectively a bad time.
I still enjoy roaming with a buddy on my sacrifice DoK though. WP could do the same. just know its not nearly as good.

Leondre25 has the right of it. It is all risk no reward right now. I've already given my feedback to the balance team about it, so there isn't much more to say.

divine strike aoe heal around the target like before and make sigmar will 60-70 resources instead of 80 and the class if fix imo. We just need to wait if they do that

Yeah, it's borked. Would be awesome if there were a trade-in the Sov for other Sov vendor with a small fee.

Still new to WP, would like your thoughts.
I'm planning on going for tanky SnB frontline healer in RvR.
Will have full VW and Battlehammer of the Subjugator (for 2x HoT procs, since we take more hits and have more direct heals than SnB) with The Harbinger or Envoy.

Then transition this build
Grace/Salvation
To pick up Benediction if I ever get to 6-7p sov off.

This build should be a lot more tanky than book version, so I can go in with tanks and pop off WoW+MB into SB/SW spam on pushes.
And would survive better in messy fights.
Will also have better heals on chases/retreat if there's a target to hit.

And once they fix Benediction and Martyr's Blessing interaction so we get full 35% then MB should heal equal to a Book WP.

I don't think the damage will be worth much and would largely be fluff from occasional Smite, but not a concern for me.

I doubt Shield WP, having to slot STR talis to get the proper damage bonus for his healing to shine, has better defense than a Book WP with Armor Talis. Only extra thing Shield has is Block and more absorb with Benediction, provided he can it something.

As for defensive play and/or when team is retreating, Shield WP is now completely useless, even more so than before when he could at least Sacrifice in the backline.

From my modest experience, the Grace of Sigmar / Heal spec of Shield WP puts out OK healing in small groups (6 max), with negligible damage and healing somewhat close to book WP, while getting largely outheal by the latter for anything 12+.
As for Divine Fury / Fanaticism Damage spec of Shield WP, it can still put out some ST damage pressure, but is now severly gimped regarding healing, not deserving a full healer spot.

Still, combining DPS and Healer mechanics, Shield WP is unique to play, offering a gamplay I find difficult to come back from.
