I don't see an issue with an emphasis being put on archetype performance... those not playing in accordance to their archetype might not get that a little pat on the back, but still get contribution through their loldpsing - as would a dps archetype. Provided they make an effort to make their approach to the game work.
If you want to play like a dps archeytype, you'll have to play by their rules:
You share a pool with every m/rdps there is, and every m/rdps needs a group to perform properly - or needs to majorly up their game, e.g.: get a pot economy running and min/max to match the format (= soloroam, duoroam, what have you) that is being played in.
I'm developing a Chosen with 2h/dps focus. Thing is a dps tank still needs to be a tank.
I see my job as guarding and supporting mdps, putting pressure and damage on healers to keep them pinnned, punting and CCing threats to my guard etc.
"Pure" dps tank seems a bit silly with sll the tools you have

How so?
One of the most feared Chosens on the server is Skavok, and he's typically DPS for a darn good reason. When you're in organized "meta group" with let's say 2 healers (Dok & Zealot), and you have a solid tank (like a Black Ork, Black Guard or another Chosen), to go with a melee DPS and a range DPS (for a total of 6 players in a 6-man).... then you're going to have the perfect destro setup.
Now you're doing great damage with 2 guys with guard ability, and your 3rd DPS (the Chosen) can go deep and stay on the healers while doing DPS without being ultra-squishy like the melee/ranged natural DPS classes in your group.
Surely you realize this?
Should the devs change the classes so that they can no longer be "versitle" like that, with the ability to re-spec on the fly as their party make-up changes, then I think they would be destroying a huge part of the allure to the classes in the game. IN a perfect world, I think every class should have at least 2 main viable specs with a ton of flexibility therein to do hybrid stuff based on what your RVR group needs, or what PVE needs.

You misread me I think. I'm sure Skavok guards if a tank goes down and uses his full toolset of punts and cc.
I'm referring to those players who ignore thier toolset snd just spam attacks

That's not even on the drop table, you shouldn't be able to get it.

Maybe because there is a MASSIVE imbalance in class roles between Order and Destro and it makes the server look bad when one side consistently loses because every tank and healer on it would rather DPS?
This kind of wild assumption is the type of thing that proves a portion of the player base has no idea how to actually be competitive in game, no matter what the balance is currently at. In fact, this huge imbalance - when it occurs - is often leveraged by good players who "cross-realm" surf for the AAO advantages it brings. If you are running around the lakes in a pug warband with random group comps and no coms, you're gonna have a bad time. Yes, it is a git gud issue for you. Quit running with PuGs. It's that simple. We run a semi-optimized 6 man most nights and do quite well for ourselves. We don't always win, but we don't always get wiped either. We are in coms, have a great time, and even let in some of those off-spec classes to try and make it work.
Back on topic:
Since the theory has been raised that "Only top-tier guilds and 6-man groups" will have liniments because they are the only ones organized enough to farm it is absurd. Nothing is stopping you from forming a group and farming the dungeon. The only thing stopping you is your unwillingness to do so for the reward or your propensity to avoid organized groups/guilds/alliances. These are two things nobody can fix except you. So fix it. Don't deny others rewards just because you are too lazy or too antisocial to also work to receive them.

Torqe mentioned about purple seed
Torquemadra wrote:delcon wrote:If the seeds disappear what’s the point of them it does not fit with the crafting skill ,
should just leave them as butcher items ,
Not a good enough reason to play gunbad ,
What makes you think all seeds do that?
Clearly 4 permanent seeds a run would be completely broken.
so maybe it 's possible

I meant that specific seed is not on the drop table. Purple seeds are out there.

Ahh thank you for confirming. Do these drop from butchering 40+ mobs and/or are they gunbad drops?
