For whatever reason on my standard connection i can't connect to the login server, just like everyone else here. However, if i use a shitty VPN,i can connect to the log in server. Heres what i've been doing for the time being while the server offline problem persists:

load up a vpn
connect to the log in server, log into game, chooose a character and load in
close the vpn service and stop rerouting my connection
server kicks you to character select, but can still locate game server
log back in, profit.

Don't know if it will work for you, but it works for me.

just google for one, if you are ok downloading one. I won't post links to any, but there are tons of free ones out there that provide basic rerouting/ip change or whatever its called.

edit: it might take a few tries to make work, but its currently working for me. You can also just leave the VPN on and play that way, but your connection will be slower.

If anyone else gets it working this way, please let me know.

Possible solution:
Log in to your router and change the default DNS IP-adresses to Google's DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) or openDNS (208.67.222.222 / 208.67.220.220).

Atm there is no routing to South American IP-adresses for me, when i use my ISP-DNS or any other german DNS (route stops in spain). Connection to NA and EU IPs seems normal (e.g. routing to the RoR server as usual).
When i change the settings to an american DNS (google or openDNS), the packets get a routing to brasil.

edit: just tested it again a last time, now it works with other DNS too; Connection is still slow with a timeout in spain, but think this wasn't the real problem (shouldn't be anyhow)
